  • Couldn't Have Asked for Anything Better

"We had three generations stay over for two weeks and enjoy this amazing gem of a rental. You could smell the ocean from the large screened in porch or sit out on the deck by the pool to catch sun in a very private, quiet setting. The cook's kitchen is to die for even though the Ocean House is walking distance along with nearby towns no more than 10 or 15 minutes away by car with delightful restaurants and shopping. There is plenty to do for children and adults, but we mostly stayed on property as the home's charm and beautiful design welcome you in from the moment you put your bags down. On site laundry and full central air conditioning added an extra layer of comfort, not to mention the four large bedrooms with high ceilings. The owner and family respond to any questions (not that you will have any) almost immediately by text and that makes a world of difference when traveling. The beach access is walking only which essentially left us alone to enjoy the sand - which was of such a fine quality it rivals the Caribbean in my opinion. We will definitely be coming back provided it's not already booked up a year in advance! It's your choice - swim in the pool in the morning and sun at the beach after lunch or the reverse. Choices, choices..."

  • We loved the Red House!

"Just returned from our vacation in Rhode Island and the best part of the trip, by far, was our one week stay in the Red House in Watch Hill. We loved the Red House! We were comfortable as soon as we walked in. The house is beautifully decorated, impeccably clean, and very spacious. We had great beds, plenty of linens and towels, and all the necessary accoutrements for carefree living. There was ample room for all the activities of our three-generational family---and all on one level which was a huge plus for the toddler and the grandparents! We especially enjoyed the quick access to the spectacular nearby beaches and the close proximity to shopping and dining in Watch Hill and Westerly. Watch Hill is truly a Rhode Island treasure! We never had occasion to speak or meet with the owner because everything was perfect on arrival---better than pictured. Next year, we will plan for a longer stay in this 'oh so comfortable' house!"

  • Great house, great location

"Well equipped, nicely decorated and kept up to date. The pool was really nice to come home to after a day at the beach. Clean. Good wifi (can you tell we had teenaged kids?). So close to town and beach. A few bikes included with the house and the ones we rented were dropped off and picked up at the end of the week."

  • A Luxurious Stay

"We arrived in the 2nd week of August after a long, hot summer of work, work and more work only to find a wonderful oasis waiting for us in the busy coastal town of Watch Hill, RI. The 2nd floor apartment located in the heart of Bay Street overlooking the bay and above the famous, Olympia Tea Room, was much better than the pictures on line can ever capture. The owners interior design and décor rival many of the best Relais and Chateau Hotels that we have stayed at in Europe and the USA. The apartment contained all of the creature comforts that anyone would need during their stay. That the apartment sits on top of one of Rhode Island's best restaurants is an added bonus. Chef Kyle's flavors, coupled with the warm hospitality of the Olympia Tea Room's owners Jack and Marcia, and their hand picked, extensive and award winning wine list, only adds to the comfort of this apartment's location. Beaches, shops, and the charming antique carousel were within a block or two from the apartment -making access to best that Watch Hill has to offer just a short walk away. Our property's contact and hostess, Georgia, is warm, friendly, and very informative, and her neighboring shop, H2O, is charming and full of unique and useful items and gifts. The view off of the front veranda of the bay, docks, and downtown activity was enjoyable in the morning over coffee as we watched the town come to life, and offered stunning views of the sunset each evening that was most enjoyed over a glass of wine. A perfect way to relax at the end of the day. We are so happy we found this property, and look forward to our next visit. We can't think of a better place to stay when visiting Watch Hill, RI."
