  • A week in wonderland!

"Phenomenal! From the moment we drove down the tree lined road we were captivated. Our arrival took our breath away. The house is idyllic. We were right on the water and the views from several rooms were amazing. The dock was a perfect launch site for our kayak and canoe. We were able to boat to the private beach and enjoy near total privacy. In the evenings we enjoyed just relaxing in the yard and watching the wildlife. There was something for everyone in our group ages 6-53. We rode bikes to the tennis courts, went to Ninigret park and had fun on the playground and fresh water beach, ideal for the little ones. The observatory was open on Friday with amazing views of the night sky. The house itself was unbelievable. Every little detail was taken care of. There was an abundance of high quality plates, glassware, pots and pans. Every kitchen item you could possibly need was ready and waiting. There was even a wonderful collection of spices available. I have never stayed in such a finely appointed rental. There were games and puzzles available. The home was so cozy and comforting. The screen porch was the perfect place for watching the sun rise and for cooling off at night. It truly felt like we were at home. I am already trying to plan a family reunion at this location and the home next door, same owners. An incredible home in an amazing location!"

  • Clean rental centrally located

"We rented this home as 3 couples and a dog. Summary: Clean rental with a great outdoor shower, centrally located to Narragansett, Newport, Block Island Ferry and more. There are 3 properties (that I think are made up of 2 connected homes each) on the lot. If you're looking for a lot of quiet and privacy, this is not your rental! Photos of the home are not entirely representative of the home we rented. I imagine they are representative of one of the other houses on the property. Felt slightly mislead by the photo that shows a backyard behind the house. Our home did not have a backyard nearly that large. Pros: - Clean - Great outdoor shower - 3 bedrooms that sleep 1 couple in each - dog friendly - ample parking - gas grill - diswasher, washer/dryer - AC in most rooms - outdoor deck - great location – minutes away from drugstore, liquor store, grocery, gas station, etc. Good location for day trips to neighboring cities and attractions. A lot to do within 45 minutes. - 1 mile or so from the local beach, which we found to be our least favorite beach. Cons: - photos were not representative of the actual house we stayed in. there was no large backyard at the home we stayed in, contrary to what the photos seem to show. Instead, there is a very large, open front yard that is shared between all 3 properties. Our rental had a small backyard. - one of the bedrooms didn't have A/C - no real privacy, since there are other properties on the lot - the kitchen could have been stocked better with cookware - the house is off a main road, so you definitely hear cars pass by while you're sitting outside on the deck - there is no charm to this house. it's a simple rental."

  • Great multi-generational family vacation retreat

"My family of two daughters, sons in law and my grandsons enjoyed a very special week at Kismet. The house is beautifully appointed, with areas we could all be together comfortably (kitchen, living room, spacious deck, pool area) and other semi-private areas where you could visit in smaller groups. The grounds are beautiful, from the koi pond with blooming lotus and a small waterfall, the pool and large yard with full growth trees. Jamestown is a charming, quieter island alternative to Newport and Narragansett with lovely restaurants, great cycling, kayaking, walking trails, fresh fish and vegetables, and lovely views everywhere. We would love to return next summer."

  • Family of Four - extended stay

"We had the privilege of spending three months in this lovely home and based on our wonderful experience we highly recommend booking this home to anyone looking to stay in Newport. The house is absolutely charming - recently and completely renovated with all modern conveniences but yet maintains its historical roots. The house is fully stocked with linens, all necessary kitchen utensils, small appliances, pots and pans, etc, and the owners even have wooden blocks, markers/paper, and serving ware for children. Beds were all very comfortable, house was spotless upon arrival, yard is large with lots of room to spread out, and the house is in a perfect location…5 minute walk to downtown, less than 5 minute walk to the water, but yet it’s a very quiet location so you don’t feel like you’re located in the hustle and bustle of the city. The owners are absolutely wonderful - quick to respond, very organized, and truly set us up for success during our stay. We have stayed in many VRBO homes over the years in the US and abroad, and our stay in Newport was fantastic thanks to this terrific home and the wonderful owners."
