  • Point of View

"This lovely and brand new cottage by the sea is as close as one can come to sleeping on a yacht without actually leaving the shore. The bedrooms are below and open to the patio and back garden. After climbing a pretty wooden stair case that is cabled like a sail, you are up top in a clean open space with spectacular 180 views of the ocean The sunset never gets old and if you sleep with the slider open, the rising sun will glow softly on the bay to wake you sometime after 7. Yacht-like, no shoes are worn in the house, which truly added to the fun. We had the pleasure of being the very first people ever to stay here. Everything is new. The house is beautiful and neatly appointed with all amenities including a spa like master bath, fancy kitchen, large flatscreen TV's and modern AC. Not that you will need the AC. The Beavertail breeze blows steadily keeping heat waves and even mosquitos at bay. Because the house's construction was just finished, not much of a beautifully planned garden had yet been installed at our stay but there was a fire pit and curvy path of lavender that led to the steps to the beach. We rented kayaks and sailed them every morning. The rocky beach is a nice stretch of fun large granite boulders or tiny smooth stones perfect for skipping. A great spot for fishing, swimming, reading and relaxing. If you bring a cup, there are hermit crabs aplenty to hunt for. The house is only a couple of miles from both the Beavertail lighthouse or Mackerel Cove Beach. A laid back friendly owner was quick to reply to any questions. A perfect house for a small family or two couples to share. What a wonderful two weeks in Jamestown we had."

  • Great family getaway spot

"The house is in a great location, walking to Bonnet Shores was awesome. The owners had everything we needed, including toys, and even had a bottle of wine waiting for us upon arrival. The only downside was the DVD player and the fireplace were not working. The owners were available for any questions we had and were great to deal with. Would definitely rent again!"

  • great house!

"We used this property for a week to house grown children with their youngsters. The house is comfortable, spacious, and well-equipped, and located on a quiet cul de sac. Everyone loved it."
