  • Simply.......'Magical'!!!

"Looking for a remarkable place to escape to and enjoy the peace and solitude of beautiful Block Island???? Look no further...... The Barn at Schooner Point is 'the' most enchanting place to stay. You can touch dragonflies, or catch fireflies, you can dance under the stars or talk to the moon....... And no one in the world needs to know....It'll just be your little secret. We discovered the magic of The Barn a few years ago and look forward now, each year, to our return. Sean and Leslie are remarkable hosts, allowing you to unwind and relax and just 'be' at your own pace. There is a sense of wonder when you stay on Schooner Point, a place where your imagination can run wild, or just wander endlessly on the beach, enjoy amazing sunrises and spectacular sunsets, even a stormy day is mesmerizing..... We've always felt that BI is a place to runaway to, now we feel like we're headed in the exact right direction when we land on the doorstep of The Barn!!!!! In the words of WB Yates, "The world is full of magic things, patiently waiting for our senses to grow sharper." If you're thinking of spending time on Block Island, come and enjoy the 'magic' that 'is' The Barn at Schooner Point and 'let your senses grow sharper'!!! ~Enjoy~"

  • Overall fantastic!

"The home is absolutely beautiful! I have been using home away for a few years now and this is in my top favorite! The house is very clean and nicely updated. The kitchen is well stocked. Open concept. 3 beds. 3 baths. Each room has a good amount of space. But that master bedroom is amazing! A sauna, pebble shower/steam room, Jacuzzi tub, and small bar with ample space and high ceilings. It was hard to leave that room! Nice patio off the side, large back yard, and speakers through the house. The owner Kristin was very pleasant to work with. She emailed back very quickly and with any information needed. I recommend to anyone visiting the area. Very nice town, quiet and close to the beach! I will be back in the near future =)"

  • Absolute delight

"This was an absolutely delightful experience. The house was darling and the owner was wonderful. It was an easy process from beginning to end. We only stayed a few days, but they were the happiest and most rewarding days. The deck that overlooked the ocean was a pure delight. That is where we spent most of our time, even though it was a bit cold and rainy. When we did go inside, the house was warm and inviting, with the added bonus of being beautiful. The whole experience was better than we hoped. I will definitely be seeing if we can rent this again!"

  • Clean, Comfortable, and Conveniently Located

"We rented this home for our family vacation (2 adults and 2 young children) and due to the number of bedrooms we were getting, decided to invite our close friends (2 adults and 3 children) to stay with us for half of the week. The house handled this large group exceedingly well - plenty of room for infant and toddler to nap without disruption by older kids, and plenty of couches, chairs to accommodate dinners and lounging. The house was clean and up to date. I was pleased it had some extra amenities like large pots for boiling lobsters, a very large grill on a nearly new deck, and even an electric griddle for making large batches of pancakes in the morning. A large selection of DVDs/VHS tapes and games for kids and adults too was another unexpected surprise - and the kids took full advantage after returning from a day at the beach. We had never rented near Scarborough before, and initially I was worried about being on the busy Point Judith Road, however the house is situated well off the street and behind a large green hedge. We never felt like we were on such a busy street, yet benefitted from the convenient location (a very quick car ride to Scarborough, some restaurants, gas station, and grocery store). Twice when my son fell asleep at the beach in his stroller, I opted to walk home with him rather than interrupt his sleep - it was a totally doable 20-25 minute walk. We would definitely rent this house again the next time we vacation in Narragansett!"
