  • Well appointed, cute apartment.

"Property was as described on the site. Comfortable and clean. Mike and Kevin were very helpful, and communicated effectively from beginning to end. We had a great visit to the Newport area and would recommend this property to anyone!"

  • A true gem

"Steve met us when we arrived at the house and was a pleasure to talk to. The house is walking distance to a number of the mansions and Salve University. The beaches are close as well. It was a wonderful stay. We loved the old feel of the living room and bedrooms and then the modern kitchen was wonderful for cooking breakfast and dinners. Thank you"

  • Cool, convenient gem on College Hill

"This apartment is on the first floor of an attractive old home on historic Benefit St. The location is excellent for a city that has no real downtown, but rather a bunch of fun neighborhoods to explore. Providence is a great walking city, but the traffic and parking (at least during the summer) are never onerous (with the one off-street parking space--no overnight parking in Providence). The main living area is a beautifully maintained oval sitting room with a modern kitchen area. The entry door and front window are curved--awesome! There is also a large bedroom with a sort of bay window area that provides lots of sunlight and air (or not--if you prefer--with the heavy drapes). There's just a full-sized bed, but it's very comfortable. The bathroom (off the bedroom) is clad in travertine and features a huge shower with teak bench and great water pressure. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need, just be careful: the smoke detector is right over the stove. There was no cable or TV, but with internet and a (provided) projector and Bose speaker, no worries. There is laundry just outside the front door--two bucks a load. This is an urban area filled with rentals, so it's not as pristine and well-kept as the northern end of Benefit St. with its single-family homes and duplexes, but it feels very safe. We spent a month here (mid-July to mid-August 2016) and really enjoyed the Waterfire [every other Saturday], architecture, museums, Brown & RISD and restaurants. There is a Thursday evening open-air concert one block away (John Brown House) during the summer. Take in an indie at the Cable Car Cinema & Café right down the hill. Go shopping on Thayer and Wickenden Sts., hit the mall (if you must), and don't miss the antiques mall in Pawtucket. Check out the Roger Williams Park and Zoo (the Botanical Gardens would be more impressive in spring and early summer, I imagine). Our favorite meals: Matunuck Oyster Bar (about 1/2 hour south), Providence Oyster Bar on Atwells and Los Andes on Chalkstone. Top-shelf sandwiches at Ocean State Sandwich on Westminster, breakfast at Louis on Brook, and brunch at Duck & Bunny on Wickenden. Oh, and don't miss the deli/caffé at Venda (a.k.a. Constantino's) on Atwells. Isabella was helpful, friendly, and unobtrusive. Enjoy your stay on College Hill!"
