  • A perfect place to relax and explore the sites or MA and RI

"The beautifully renovated farmhouse offered plenty of space for our family. The house was very clean and well appointed with everything you would need to make your stay comfortable. We spent a couple of days visiting the Newport mansions and the pier and other days wondering around the quaint town of Little Compton and Westport. What made the trip extra special was our hostess, Paris St Pierre. She was always ready to help to assure our vacation was special. She also gave my daughter a lesson on her beautiful well cared for horse, Patriclus. We will not soon forget our trip to Little Compton and surely plan to come back."

  • Great place!

"Big and clean place, perfect for our stay! It was walking distance from everything we need and loved that it had parking for both our cars. Sharon was super nice and made me and my family feel very welcomed. Will definitely stay there again if we end up going back to Newport."

  • Wonderful, clean, an centrally located.

"Going on vacation with four teenagers is never easy, but we were able to pull it off with out a hitch. Boogie boards in the shed, fast internet, a kitchen with everything that you need, and above all very clean. Evening dinners outside with the kids were great. Beaches within minutes. We could drop those who wanted off at the beach and then go and do other things. Tracy was very helpful. We had some hiccups, of our own making, but she was there to help us through them. Newport was nice: cliff walk, and downtown shops. Everyone was so polite. RI drivers are some of the most considerate I have ever experienced. Narragansett is a nice little town. They have an wonderful Indian restaurant there. We ate Indian half the week. Beaches were okay, water was very comfortable, but our 17 year old son wished for bigger waves. Scarborough Beach waves were bigger than Wheeler, but apparently not big enough."

  • Deceptively Charming

"The photos do not do this little home justice. The kitchen, dining, family room, living room is open floor plan. The Accoutrement in the kitchen is better than the average beach home. Plenty of pots and pans, lots of cooking equipment in a workable kitchen. The porch is really where you're going to live. Smith and Hawkins teak table and chairs, lamps, tiny wine fridge overhead ceiling fan. Charming Beach Art everywhere. The grill is not your typical ready for the trash beach grill but a Weber. Very nice indeed. Small touches everywhere, a basket for clothes pins ready for outside, a picnic basket, vases, plenty of lamps, laundry baskets for your use, a sharp knife! The one television is large and from this century. There is also a handicap ramp and the first floor is mostly handicap accessible. There are some cons. The outdoor shower, while quite large with plenty of hooks for towels and clothing, can be seen from two angles of nearby homes. However the hand held shower attachment allows you to scoot into a corner. You will need to go to the basement to turn the water on and off each time you use the shower. Not horrible, just an inconvenience. There should be a cafe curtain or shade in the kitchen so second floor neighbors don't get a view into bedroom. The bedroom door needs to be open as you will see in the next paragraph. The house is a little oven. The two interior ceiling fans and two creaky standing fans will not cool this house down during a hot August day but by most evenings where the temperature dips below 75, it will be cool enough to sleep. If you're here during a heatwave like we just experienced this place may be very uncomfortable. Overall if you choose your time at this home wisely and not during the high heat of summer it's a charmer and quite deceptive from the exterior. A decent value."
