  • Charming Hideaway

"1950's bayside cottage tucked deep in the woods, complete with attic fan to suck in the sea breeze and a kitchen equipped to feed the masses. Not fancy and a perfect spot for the family reunion we enjoyed gathered on the back patio with the bay in full view or lingering around the dining table or in the living room. It was comfortable for all."

  • Great experience

"Lovely home and location. Interior outfitted to make one feel right at home. Back yard was perfect for several challenging croquet matches. The sunsets from the deck made our martinis taste better than ever. For sight seeing, the walks at Fort Wetherill State Park, casual dining at Fish in Jamestown, taking the ferry across Narragansett Bay, or upscale dining at 41 North in Newport were all great."

  • Great multi-generational family vacation retreat

"My family of two daughters, sons in law and my grandsons enjoyed a very special week at Kismet. The house is beautifully appointed, with areas we could all be together comfortably (kitchen, living room, spacious deck, pool area) and other semi-private areas where you could visit in smaller groups. The grounds are beautiful, from the koi pond with blooming lotus and a small waterfall, the pool and large yard with full growth trees. Jamestown is a charming, quieter island alternative to Newport and Narragansett with lovely restaurants, great cycling, kayaking, walking trails, fresh fish and vegetables, and lovely views everywhere. We would love to return next summer."

  • Lovely Cottage on a Beautiful Island

"A week at Whitegate Cottage stopped time and let us relax and breathe in the extraordinary beauty that is Block Island. The cottage is charming and was built with love. While it's a small house, it feels spacious. You're up on a hill with beautiful views. Breezes constantly come through the open windows. The clarity of the sky at night is phenomenal. On a clear morning you can see the ocean in the distance from the upstairs bedroom, and if the surf is active you can hear the waves breaking. The Nolans were gracious and friendly. They gave us wonderful suggestion for nearby beaches and walks with breathtaking views. I've never had such a lovely, relaxed vacation."
