  • Peaceful and Secluded

"We stayed 3 nights in this secluded cabin. It was so beautiful and peaceful! The mountain view was amazing. The cabin had everything we needed, especially if you plan to hideaway. A fully furnished kitchen, a gas grill, directv and wifi. One stop at the grocery store and you are set. Be sure to have an all wheel or 4 wheel drive vehicle to get to the location. Since it sits at the top of the mountain the terrain is rugged and steep. We will definitely stay here again!"

  • Great Stay

"I just got back from our stay at the Sumbling Elk Lodge at Suncadia. I was there with a church women's group and we all loved it so much! Suncadia alone is amazing and we really enjoyed the property. The house was very clean, had lots of space, and the owner was very easy to work with. I was there with 14 other women and we all had enough space and felt like it was easy to be comfortable in this house. I could see how it would be a great house for kids too. Our only problem we had was with the oven. We had a hard time figuring it out, and burned a few dishes:( It was way hotter than the temperature said. So maybe some directions with it would be very helpful. A few notes if you are staying there: 1. bring ziplocs bags 2. It says it sleeps 16 which with children it definitely could if you put 2 kids on each double bed and the pull out couch. But for a group of 16 women, that doesn't work so well. What we did was had a few people bring air mattresses to put in the rooms. The rooms are huge and there was plenty of room for that, but that way we weren't asking 2 women's to share a double bed. Also Suncadia will come and deliver cots too. We used one as well. Hope these tips help you! We hope to stay here again in the future. This is our 3rd house we've stayed at there and my favorite!"

  • The Best, Again and Again

"This was our 4th time to stay at this house and it will not be our last. We have stayed here 4 out of the last five years. Each year we think we are going to make other plans, but we end up coming back again and again. The recent renovations only made a great place better. The new boardwalk out to the beach, the new outdoor shower room, the renovated kitchen, the addition of a 3rd new bathroom, the new flooring and the new upper and lower decks are all wonderful. It was a great place for a family to stay before. It's the PERFECT place now! Any size family from 6-20 will find it comfortable, affordable and IDEAL for a family getaway. A short 7 block walk or 2 minute drive to downtown puts you in touch with several good restaurants. We recommend FB Crab Shack for Dinner, Rita's for lunch and the Lost Dog for breakfast. Everything is close and you literally never have to leave the island once you arrive. Charleston is only minutes away. The beach is right out your door and during the week days it's almost deserted. The owners are a delight to work with and the folks at Fred Holland Realty are quick to address any problems. Now you know why we keep coming back year after year!"

  • Couldn´t imagine a better place

"We had an awesome stay at Hale Hibiscus. Denise and Jeff are great hosts, they did everything to make us feel comfortable. They took care about our late arrival and also communication was great before. They supported us with all informations. The place was completely reworked and everything is new. The dog was cute and also the cats are awesome, we loved our morning greeting in the morning with them. Althoug Denise and Jeff was also on vacation, they took care about us and how it was going. You have everything at this home what you need for a longer stay. They provide you with bikes, bodyboard, snorkelling equippment and many more. Some day we will come back and stay at the exact place. Better drive to Waikiki than to stay in the big hotels."
