  • Great welcoming and a very nice house

"Very nice and spacious house, in a great neighborhood. The owner welcomed us very kindly, explaining all details about the house. Great fenced backyard that was perfect for our dog."

  • A wonderful group stay at this charming historic home

"This is a lovely home with lots of historic Charleston character. It was perfect for our group of 12 girls - very clean, with enough bathrooms for all (pretty and updated baths too!) It is in a really great location downtown Charleston, walkable or a quick uber ride anywhere we needed to go in the city. The owners were wonderful to work with, very responsive and willing to accommodate our early check-in and late check-out requests. I highly recommend this home to others visiting Charleston!"

  • Quaint apartment home, owner is kind.

"Laura was very attentive before and during our stay, even stopping by to try to meet us. There was a lot of information about Charleston inside the property. It is in a good location, very close to MUSC. There were several good restaurants within walking distance. You could walk to the historic district, but we chose to drive. The apartment is on the top floor of a house. It was clean and spacious. The bathrooms are small, but you would expect that as this is an older house. We did experience some noise issues from the downstairs renters. It wasn't bad, just college age kids doing their thing. One member of our family had issues sleeping due to road noise from the street. It was louder than what he is used to. This is not the fault of the owner, just an issue one person had. The off-street parking was wonderful and the home is easily accessed by the major roads in the area. We felt the mattresses/bed linens could use an upgrade. There were plenty of towels provided and there is even an ironing board tucked away inside a nook in the house. The kitchen was well stocked--I enjoyed the electric tea pot quite a bit. The home has wi-fi available, but no television. This worked out fine for us. The showers were good and we had plenty of hot water each day for all four of us to shower."

  • Very cool historic home with perfect location!

"My husband and 2 college aged kids stayed here for 3 days over Thanksgiving and never had to use our car. We walked everywhere. The carriage house is very charming as much of the original house is still visible...lots of brick walls and wood beams. Cozy beds and furniture. The kitchen is stocked with plenty of dishes/ utencils including fresh coffee ( no dishwasher), but its not needed as the restaurants are half the reason to come to Charleston. Probably the only reason I didn't give this 5 stars are just little things: the bathroom doors don't have locks or door knobs, some of the upstairs curtains were paper but they still worked and although we love dogs, they never picked up the dog poop in our yard. Would I stay again and recommend this place? Absolutely YES! I just think its good to know the few things that could be improved. Remember it's a renovated historic building, so it's not going to have the feel of a modern home, but that's why we loved it! My family thought it was very cool and we loved being greeted by their dog. It was comfortable and warm and much more fun than staying in a condo. Its pricey over the holidays but very charming! So yes, rent it!!"
