  • The Best of The Best!

"Considering that this was our 4th time at High Seas I think the fact that we keep going back just about tells you all you need to know! I will go ahead a say once again, "It doesn't get any better than High Seas"! The owners are remarkable and they do everything possible to make our stay there every year a comfortable, pleasurable and happy time! The house is always immaculate, it is equipped with EVERYTHING you could possibly need right down to the tiniest of details! The views are breathtaking, the sound of the ocean is so relaxing and sunrise in the mornings is absolutely beautiful! When we are at High Seas we feel like we are home......it doesn't get any better than that! We will never tire of the good times we have at High Seas or the beauty of Edisto Beach and will return every year!"

  • It is a Natures Retreat!

"Our family loves Jeremy Cay, Edisto Island and Natures Retreat! The views from this house are the best!! Your home away from home. Natures Retreat has everthing you need for a very relaxing family vacation. Clean, Cozy, spacious house with very comfortable beds, well stocked kitchen and even an icemaker. From the decks we watched eagle soar, deer roam and witnessed amazing sunsets. Our grandson watched Dolphins heading back to the ocean from a nearby creek and loved finding beautiful sand dollars on the very private beach. We enjoyed riding the golfcart around the island looking at the many birds who make Jeremy Cay home. Highly recommend the Natures Retreat for making memories with your family or finding that special place to just relax!! Thank you Vickie for sharing your home with others!!"

  • Beautiful island

"This was our third time renting on Edisto but the first for February and this house. We stayed the whole month and it was pretty quiet with just a few renters around but the restaurants were open and the beaches deserted. We cooked most of our meals with the wonderful selection of seafood at our fingertips. The shrimp and cluster oysters never disappoint. The house was very comfortable, warm and bright. The weather this year was not ideal with lots of rain and chilly temperatures but I did manage to get in several bike rides. I would not hesitate to recommend this house with it's great location and easy walking distance to the sound. I loved going up to the loft and reading on the dreary days. I did wish the main bathroom had a handicap bar to hold onto seeing the tub is rather deep. I did feel unsteady at times. Other than that, it was perfect. Note: if anyone is interested in putting together the cat puzzle, it's missing 3 pieces."

  • Location Location Location

"Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our third year staying in this cottage and we love the location & the layout perfect for 2 families. Everything was in working order but... this year I could see some deferred maintenance from non operable windows, shades, water spots on ceiling and a need to update. Renting year end always gets you a not quite so spring cleaned house as it has been used and abused for months ahead of you. May need to do a mid season spring clean to really keep up. That said the cleaning crew did a good job w. the time allowance they have, To get to the beach we literally had to "jump" down the 3' steep bank caused from erosion. Maybe the owner doesn't want to put money into a cottage that may wash away?? Rumour has it that beach nourishment will happen next year which might just save this cottage. Edisto Beach for families that just want a fabulous beach this is it. If you are looking for entertainment away from the water this may not be for you ."
