  • Terrific property, location and hosts!

"Stayed for 9 days, 5 of which I shared with my adult children. The house was as advertised and then some. The kitchen was well laid out and well stocked, beds comfortable, shower pressure great. The home was immaculate and tastefully decorated. The neighborhood was very quiet. But who really cared once we realized how close and easy it was to walk to the beach, to the restaurants, etc in 'downtown' Folly Beach as well as drive to Charleston for great food, music, etc. It is possible to stop at the large grocery store on the way to Folly or use the small local (walking distance) grocery, and never get in your car again! My adult children were totally thrilled and want to return. My dog thought she had died and gone to heaven. Thanks to our terrific hosts for making our stay so pleasant!"

  • Big beautiful house next to the beach, perfect for multi-family trips

"We stayed at the Sea Pearl for 2 weeks and absolutely loved it and Folly beach. It's just around the corner from a very private section of the beach away from the more crowded public areas. The house was well equipped for large groups. We were 3 families with small children. There was plenty of space to eat and play. There's a beautiful fenced in garden and 2 separate patios giving everyone the privacy they need. Lisa was very quick to respond to all of my messages and an excellent hostess. We would definitely stay here again!"

  • The BEST Beach Rental I Have Ever Had

"I have stayed at Folly Beach 6 times, (Hilton Head 3 times, Sullivan's island once), and I must say that this is the best beach rental I have ever had. Folly Beach is by far the most reasonable of the Charleston area beaches. With about a 20 minute drive to Charleston, is is possible to enjoy the beach during the day, and still shop and enjoy Charleston restaurants in the late afternoon and evening. I rented this house for myself and 5 high school friends. As "women of a certain age, " we tend to be very particular about our surroundings. This property did not disappoint!! This house is on the quieter end of the island (at least in Mid may), and about 1.2 miles from the center of town, and about 2/10 mile from the County Park. It is the first time I have stayed at this end, and I have to say it is the prettier end of the Island. This 5 bedroom, 4 1/2 bath house is well appointed. Tree of the bedrooms have a private bath; two share a "Jack and Jill" bathroom (a private entrance from each bedroom). All of the bedrooms are quite large; 3 have queen beds, 1, a king, and 1 has 4 single beds. The laundry is on the second floor (as are 4 of the bedrooms). The large kitchen/dining area has all the necessary appliances and utensils (2 coffee makers, a microwave, oven, and the necessary beach blenders!). The living room is large, overlooks the large back deck and private boardwalk to the ocean. The owners are easy to deal with and communicate well with prospective renters. The only note I have for renters is that you need to bring your own beach towels, and beach chairs (although there were several serviceable beach chairs when we were there that had been left by previous renters). Also, bring some soap. Although each bath had some liquid soap at the sink, there was no soap or gel for the tubs and showers. This may have been a one time oversight, and in NO way detracted from our enjoyment of this beautiful home! I would definitely rent it again. It is an A+ property."

  • Great week at the beach

"This was an excellent property. Quiet part of the beach, big wide beach, and walkable at high tide with steps down to the sand. Huge living space, screened in porch, and deck. Lots of great outdoor furniture. Bedrooms and bathrooms on the small side, but that was a minor inconvenience. Kitchen excellent and well stocked for cooking. Will be back."
