"We enjoyed our 4 day stay with the property being exactly as advertised. Very clean with comfortable beds and furniture plus a well equipped kitchen..... and an easy walk to both the beach and downtown. We will definitely stay here on our next trip. The owner was very easy to work with."

  • Great house in a great location

"I spent a week at this townhouse on Folly Beach and my family had an absolute blast. The house was very comfortable and perfect for a beach outing with a family, even a large one like my own. One room has accommodations for fours (although best if they are kids), then a nice master suite and a main level third bedroom. The kitchen is not huge but just fine for a week at the beach. There is a screened in porch and an upper level deck off the master. If I had one minor criticism, it would be that the kitchen was not quite as well stocked as I would have hoped - we had a couple of kids that came down later that had to bring down a couple of large pans for us as the ones onsite were either small or in very bad shape. This was a minor point and we would have made do no matter the case. The things that we loved about the place: beach was walk-able, about 10 mins with little people. Many people had golf carts and they were available to rent but we did not do this. This condo is on the far side from the beach, which makes access to the inland waterway very quick. This proved great for us as we brought paddle boards and these do much better in calm waters and you don't want to haul those long distances. There is a pool which is not huge but my kids all enjoyed it immensely. They have a grill onsite which is perfect for those that like to grill. The property was well maintained, clean, and had everything we expected from Wi-Fi to laundry facilities. I think the real magic though is Folly Beach itself. This is a great spot, with about ten restaurants that are all walk-able and we did not have a bad meal. Which Doctor and the Lost Dog were probably our favorite, and Loggerheads was a nice spot with a great house beer that is terrific. The beach was great - not overly crowded but with lifeguards, nice sand, great surf (some days exceptionally large surf great for the big kids less so for the littles). There was a Surf School right at Folly as well so if you ever wanted to learn or let your kids try it was pretty affordable and right there. We tried the farmer's market they have on Wednesday and found it rather small but we got a few nice treats. There is a larger market on Sunday on James Island (<10 miles away) which had a pretty good selection. If you can hit the Charleston farmers market on Saturday that is fantastic - huge and so many great items. Stop by the Angel Tree which is about 20 mins away - super cool ancient oak."

  • Love the Love Shack

"The was our 6th stay and it will not be our last. We keep coming back for the location, comfort, and set up. The shack is becoming our home away from home....now to see how I can get another week in for 2017! It's so easy to walk to all the restaurants and access to the beach is so convenient. Folly is our favorite place to visit for South Carolina beach time. Great placing to eat and friendly people. The kitchen is stocked with everything we need and Gigi had it cleaned and ready. I personally love the older beach cottage style and would not change a thing. You must have new bedding because I found the bed extremely comfortable and I had trouble getting up I was so content! Lol. We had a few rain storms and the sky lights made the rain wonderful. Our dogs love the yard and all the views for people watching. See you soon! ( I hope)."

  • Pretty beachy decor, prime location

"We loved Folly Beach and staying at this condo. It was a great location, close but not too close to the fishing pier. From the spacious balcony, we saw stunning sunrises that silhouetted the pier. The photographers in our group got some great shots. We were also able to watch surfers and dolphins from here. The condo couldn't be closer to the water and beach access. Easy walk to Folly shops and restaurants too. Kitchen was so fully stocked we prepared Thanksgiving and only needed to bring the groceries and a roasting pan for the turkey. Carts and the elevator made getting possessions to the upper floors easy. Condo parking was gated and right next to the building. The full time residents we met in the elevator were friendly. I would rent this condo again in a heartbeat. My only complaint was that the master bed was very high and there didn't seem to be a step stool---difficult access for older adults. Our guests were disappointed that there was not some kind of fans in their bedrooms, but more for white noise than comfort, and their televisions did not seem to have cable access like the master and living room."
