"It was such a great experience for us at "Blondie" that everyone of us (6 adults and 6 children, ages 5-18) can't wait to return. The 18 year old didn't even want to leave (that's saying something)! We had so much room to spread out. We never felt that we were on top of one another. The kitchen was a delight, the porch was lovely, and the deck at night was beautiful (so many stars)! Comfy beds and convenient bathrooms made life easy. We hope to make this trip a yearly affair. Thanks Candace and Robert for being so helpful and available. We love your home!"

  • Exceeded our expectations. The pictures don't do the property justice. Relaxing vacation house.

"First, I would stay there again in a heartbeat. I could complain about little things, but they didn't affect our time there with a couple exceptions. The WiFi never did work for us. I didn't notify anyone, because we used our iDevices to access the Internet. I should have mentioned this before we left in all fairness. My biggest complaint was the lighting. The light switches for lights that did work were in weird places -- often very far from the lights they operate. Some switches seemed to do nothing. The outside lights didn't seem to work at all except for the spotlights. However, the spots must be turned off after 10 PM, at least during part of the year because of turtles on the beach. The living and dining area was somewhat dark. The bulbs are too dim, and there aren't enough lights and lamps. The bedrooms and bathrooms were dim or lacking enough lights I thought. The washer and dryer are outside under the house. While this isn't any real problem by itself, there are no lights -- or at least that could get to light up. This is a security concern; though the area felt very safe in general. Safely navigating the stairs during the day requires care and more so at night; the stairs going up to the deck to the house are rather steep. The location is secluded and quiet. The beach is great; step off the private deck onto the beach itself. The house was clean, and the kitchen was well stocked though the knives are very dull. The beds were comfortable. There were plenty of additional pillows blankets and towels. There were enough cleaning supplies and a working vacuum cleaner; this place is literally right on the beach -- there's a lot of sand. The place is decorated in a sort of whimsical 'beachy' way with some clever little touches. This place definitely does not have the sterile condo-like look. The living and dining area is large with plenty of seating. The view from the living room to the ocean was spectacular. The deck was amazing. I loved sitting there on the rocking chairs and getting some sun in the ocean breeze. Sitting out there in the morning before the sun made me want to get up early the next day. Sitting out there at night looking out over the water listening to the waves and looking up at the stars...if that doesn't relax you, I don't know what will. The view and the deck made our vacation. We love the Charleston and the area. There is so much to see and do, and so much history. Dealing with Chris was easy and a friendly experience."

  • Girls beach vacation. Great house for me and my friends.

"6 ladies, my husband came in for a night. Loved the location. Easy five minute walk to the center of Town. Park your car. Loved the pool. We also loved walking to our own private dock just past the pool. We would grab the wine and watch the sunset from the dock. It was perfect! Short drive to Charleston. Recommend Captain Dan for a history boat ride. Had a problem with plumbing in the downstairs bathroom, Liz got after the issue right away. Lovely little Church close by, were I went to church on Sunday. Good time was had by all.....Location, Location, Location. I would return here again."
