  • Great getaway

"Gorgeous views! Not exactly ocean front but screened in porch gives direct view of the Tidewater pool and off to the center/right the beautiful ocean. Located on 3rd floor and has a really cute loft area where you can see the ocean and stars at night. Small kitchen but nicely appointed and all dishes/appliances you would need. Has ice maker in freezer. Small front loading W/D. Nice King bed and bedroom opens to screened in porch. Short walkway to beach. Rented bicycles and brought our own beach chairs, although there are plenty you can rent. Nice gated community at Wild dunes but mostly geared toward families with children. Restaurants were good but very, very overpriced. Better restaurants and bars located near public beach access (Coda deal pesce was our favorite!). Quiet hours enforced after 10pm which gave us a break from screaming kids. Curtains were hard to pull together and pull back and slight musty odor in apt, perhaps due to old carpet. Very safe area and nice to have coded entry so you don't hav to worry about keys. About 20-30min drive to Charleston (longer during rush hour) and 10-15mij drive to Mt Pleasant which had lots of commercial shops/restaurants. Overall wonderful stay!"

  • Excellent family vacation at this property for second year in a row

"This was the second year we've stayed at this property in August - the first year my son was an infant and this past year he was a toddler. This property can't be beat for value, location, comfort, and amenities. The view from the deck of the condo to the beach/ocean is beautiful and my husband and I loved to relax on the deck in the evening and during our son's nap time (the deck has 2 great lounge chairs as well as a 4-top table/chairs). We love that there is a pool in the complex (and the fact that the pool is so closely located to the condo) and the beach is just a few steps beyond (the chair rental company is excellent as well). We also liked that we could see the pool from the condo deck as well. The condo was clean and well-stocked for our needs (there were even leftover beach toys and chairs in the front hall closet). The beds were comfortable and there was plenty of room to spread out in the living room/kitchen area. The property also was very quiet in the evening and we felt very safe there. We love the Wild Dunes area and think it is very family friendly and we are excited we've found such a great, affordable property in it. We look forward to returning to this condo yearly for our family vacation!"

  • Charming Southern Beach Vacation Location!!!

"Gorgeous location! This villa at Port O Call in Wild Dunes was the perfect choice. My husband and I spent a week here for our 34th anniversary vacation getaway from Sept. 23rd - 29th, 2016 and this place was absolutely the right choice. The easy drive down the scenic Palmetto Drive to get to the Wild Dunes gated property has breath taking views of fabulous beach homes right on the ocean and the short drive in Wild Dunes is very easy and breathtaking. Port O Call location is just as beautiful. The pictures of this condo are exactly as it appears. You just step out of the screened porch and walk right to the pool and then only a few steps more and you are on a large beach that was amazing and one of the cleanest beaches I have ever walked on. The sunsets were awesome and this turned out be the best time of year to come since the weather was about 84 degrees and sunny the whole week we stayed. The condo was the perfect size for us and very clean and very tastefully decorated. We were pleasantly surprised at how easy it was to drive to all of the places we wanted to visit - Charleston, Sullivan's Island, Shem Creek, etc.-- all just minutes away and very little traffic. Also, just across the Isle of Palms Connector to great shopping malls and lots of restaurant choices. Our favorite restaurants were Poogans Porch in Charleston, and in Isle of Palms we liked the Sea Biscuit for breakfast and Crave, The Refuge, and The Long Beach Café, just to name a few. There are so many choices of restaurants and they were all good. Morgan Creek Grill was a great place to watch the boats in the harbor bay and listen to music in the evening. We were right across the street from the Wild Dunes Harbor Golf Course which is very scenic and we spent a whole day playing it. We really enjoyed the carriage ride in Charleston and the Harbor Boat trip we took and saw Fort Sumter and lots of dolphin swimming along beside the boat. This was hands down the perfect vacation location and we would love to return to this same spot someday. The owner, Thad was a delight to work with and made lots of great suggestions that made our trip and choices easier. He was so helpful and genuinely concerned about our stay being enjoyable. We will definitely recommend this place to friends and family and we have not stopped talking about it to everyone since we returned home. Thanks Thad for letting us stay in your home. • Fabulous time.

"Absolutely LOVED F-302! It is beautifully and exquisitely decorated and yet extremely comfortable, homey & cozy. Peter thought of everything from bath & kitchen towels and soap products to hand mirror and night lights! They went WAY above and beyond to accommodate and make our stay wonderful. A lot of nicely done personal touches, too. LOVED the tea!!! Made a pot every day to enjoy on the screened in porch in the mornings and iced tea in the afternoon on the beach and/or pool. Shared the wine with our family that also stayed at Wild Dunes. Thank you Peter. The condo, the beach, the pool, the fishing, sight seeing in Charleston, the restaurants...we truly enjoyed our stay and hope to return F-302 next year."
