"Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great view, new furnishings and helpful booking and response to maintenance request. Issues: Shower was moldy with drain almost completely backed up (started filling with water immediately and ankle deep by shower's end). Screen torn 1/2 off on porch. These were corrected except for the mold. Pots and pans were non-stick but scratched beyond usability unless you want to eat teflon. Had to sweep sand and hair from floors upon arrival and remove very dirty bath mat. Check in staff was cold and indifferent i.e.: no welcome, thanks or enjoy your stay--just "Name? Sign here. Here's the code." Then she turned her back. Not a pleasant way to start a visit. If I were the owner I would replace the cookware, fire the cleaning staff and demand better check in staff. Too nice a property to let fixable things sabotage it. I assume readers already know how amazing Wild Dunes is!!!"

  • Great location, amenities, host extremely responsive

"Had hotel reservation and decided to look for something else. This was perfect and actually cheaper than hotel. And we did not have to sit on the bed all day and leave for cleaning. This property has a great view. It is very well kept and has most everything you need. The host left wine and water which we very much appreciated. Was nice to spread out and relax, having two TV's allowed me to see some sports and wife to watch something else! The view from the bedroom is outstanding also, nothing better than waking up and seeing the water. Wild Dunes has much to offer, did not have time for golf but did tennis clinic for couple of hours, I am a bit advanced and I was able to get a great workout in. Just outside Wild Dunes is grocery shopping, would use that as opposed to small grocery inside Dunes, limited supply and cost more. The outside grocery was very very nice and had nice selection of wines. Its not too far a drive to downtown Charleston and we did do some things there, but Isle of Palms has many nice restaurants also. As we were booking we were hoped the pictures and listing did it justice. Our experience was even better than we hoped. I would highly recommend this place and thank the host again for his responsiveness."

  • Great getaway

"Gorgeous views! Not exactly ocean front but screened in porch gives direct view of the Tidewater pool and off to the center/right the beautiful ocean. Located on 3rd floor and has a really cute loft area where you can see the ocean and stars at night. Small kitchen but nicely appointed and all dishes/appliances you would need. Has ice maker in freezer. Small front loading W/D. Nice King bed and bedroom opens to screened in porch. Short walkway to beach. Rented bicycles and brought our own beach chairs, although there are plenty you can rent. Nice gated community at Wild dunes but mostly geared toward families with children. Restaurants were good but very, very overpriced. Better restaurants and bars located near public beach access (Coda deal pesce was our favorite!). Quiet hours enforced after 10pm which gave us a break from screaming kids. Curtains were hard to pull together and pull back and slight musty odor in apt, perhaps due to old carpet. Very safe area and nice to have coded entry so you don't hav to worry about keys. About 20-30min drive to Charleston (longer during rush hour) and 10-15mij drive to Mt Pleasant which had lots of commercial shops/restaurants. Overall wonderful stay!"
