  • Wedding Weekend with Friends

"first time in Wild Dunes to attend a friend's wedding. rented this home with several other couples for a long weekend. It was way more than we expected. Obviously it was decorated great, we all felt so "at home," the kitchen is well stocked, the porches were amazing and the location (inside the resort and closeness to Charleston) were perfect. We are already talking about making this an annual thing for our group. Thanks for sharing your home!"

  • This lovely home was a perfect fit for our large group!

"We had a full house on our recent stay and the accommodations couldn't have been more perfect! The home is nestled in a quiet cul-de-sac with a lovely lagoon behind it. Our family enjoyed our morning coffee and afternoon cocktails sitting on the upper deck overlooking the lagoon. The home is conveniently located to both the neighborhood pool and the private beach. And although the beach is just a few minutes' walk, each day we hauled a large tent, a corn hole set, bocci balls and nine beach chairs...thank goodness there was a beach parking area with ample space for our convenience! Not only was the lovely home a perfect fit for our crew, but the homeowner, Kritin Eddy, was an absolute delight to work with! Kristin returned my numerous emails within hours of receiving. We had one minor incident during our stay which does not warrant mentioning, however, I want to share it to reiterate how efficient Kristen is to work with...When one of the brand new air conditioning units malfunctioned one morning, I emailed Kristin to let her know. Immediately upon receiving my email, Kristin emailed her private cell number and asked if I would call her. During our call Kristin apologized for the inconvenience and ensured me that her trusted repairman was on the way! My family and I then headed to the beach not skipping a beat in our plans for the day! I am happy to report the unit was fixed upon our return! I would highly recommend this lovely beach home to anyone considering a beach vacation at Wild Dunes. Renee' Newell Marietta, GA."

  • Close to the beach, all the necessities

"It was a little difficult getting in because I had left the paperwork at home (my fault), but it was difficult to get in touch with anyone once we were there. The house is not right on the road, so make sure you know where you're going and also give your friends directions if they're trying to find the place because Google won't let you know that the house is back behind the others. We didn't use the resort amenities at all, so I cannot speak to that aspect of the home, although when we went to check in it did seem very nice. We did really enjoy having lots of space for family and friends to gather together. We made meals and found the kitchen to be well-equipped with plenty of dining space; the kitchen was probably my favorite part of the house. I believe there are lots of residential homes nearby, so being quiet on the great little back porch is important for the neighbors' sake, as the sound carries. The neighborhood was very quiet and peaceful. It was great to be able to walk to the beach in such a short distance with a walkway just outside the side door, and the grocery store was a short drive away. Of course, Charleston is fabulous, full of fantastic food, and is less than 30 minutes away. I will say that there is not a lot of private bedroom space, so this vacation home is great for families but not so great for lots of single folks staying together; if no one has problems sharing bedrooms/bathrooms, it'll be great! If you do have more than 4 cars (the max allowable in the driveway at one time), you will have to park extras on the resort parking lots, which is a little drive away, so just be prepared to shuttle folks. We got married on the beach and were grateful to have the house as wedding headquarters where we made bouquets and got ready. It was a great space to share memories with our family. Everyone enjoyed watching the football games in the spacious living room as well as having drinks on the back porch. The house interior is probably due for some updates in the bedrooms soon (the master bedroom is JUST as bright salmon-pink as the photos suggest), but everything was clean and cozy, thermostats upstairs and down, and extra linens in closets. Our little boy was pretty excited to find fishing poles in the closet downstairs and the resort has a pond with great bass fishing. The little outside shower was a great resource for getting those sandy beach feet clean before going inside (just remember to bring your own beach towels)!"

  • Beautiful house in great area of Wild Dunes

"Beautiful and updated house. 4 BR + 4 baths. Well decorated to feel like a "home" not a hotel room. Not oceanfront but very close to beach, pools and Pavilion at Wild Dunes. Well-stocked kitchen. Everything worked great. Large bathrooms each with jetted tub. We LOVED this house. Be aware 4-story with lots of steps, but perfect for a large family. "Real" Beds for 12. Quite area in heart of resort."
