  • Nice Stay

"We had a great time the place was clean. I would have liked to have had better furniture to relax in after a long day of sight seeing. I would stay there again on my next trip."

  • Excellent proximity to the beach

"We had a party of four stay 3 nights in December. Property is in great shape, was very clean and well stocked with basics you'd expect in a vacation property. Great view of beach from deck/sliding glass doors in the living room, as well as the upstairs master. Everything worked well in the condo, showers, water pressure, WIFI. Tap water even tasted good, didn't have the usual "beach" taste. TVs in al bedrooms and living room with great cable package. Good noise isolation from the top and bottom floors. We had two couples, one on each floor . However, we didn't have any neighbors on either side so I can't speak to that. Very short stroll to beach maybe 80 yards/5 minutes down a well kept path and boardwalk, which is all yours this time of year. Did not use the pool area due to winter weather but the condo is just on the other side of the landscaping from it. Mariner's Walk grounds were very well cared for as well. Very easy drive to IOP and Sullivan's Island for dining, drinks, sight seeing etc. Also spent an afternoon in downtown Charleston which was maybe 20-30 minutes. Definitely recommend if you are looking for a condo set up."

  • My favorite beach stay ever!

"This was our second stay in Building F at Port O Call. Last October in 2016 we stayed on the third floor which had the most beautiful views as there was acess to a deck atop the screened in porch. This year for our October stay, we chose the first floor corner unit which offered immediate access to the beach right off of the screened porch. I will say that it was my favorite. Not only was it directly on the sand with immediate access to the ocean, it was extremely comfortable with all the comforts of home. I loved the beach decor and colors. If you plan on cooking, bring your own spices, which I believe was in the "what to bring" section. I personally spent the majority of my time on the porch drinking morning coffee while watching the most beautiful sunrises that you will ever see! During the day, my husband would set up for fishing while my 11 year old granddaughter would build "castles" in the sand. We plan to return next year to this same property and look forward to falling asleep to the close sounds and breezes of the surf! Oh, forgot to mention that the moonrise is just as spectacular as the sunrise! You can't get any closer to the beach than this because you ARE on the beach if you stay here!"

  • 3 reviews for the price of one

"I booked this condo 9 months in advance of my wife and I's anniversary trip. Wouldn't you know that Hurricane Matthew arrived just before we were supposed to...... bummer I was fully prepared to give a scathing review, but it was for one facet of this experience. In all fairness, I will divide it into 3 parts - the condo - the owner - and the management company in charge of the property. The condo- EXCELLENT ! It is exactly as pictured, and DIRECTLY OCEAN FRONT. Very clean. Perfect for 2 people, maybe more if they are youths... but it fit our needs very well. Grade - A The owner - EXCELLENT ! My wife and I understand that there is a sequence of events that must happen after a hurricane before rentals can resume, but our anniversary trip was salvaged and made possible by the owners. Very accommodating, made provisions so we could get into our unit, and made sure that our stay was complete and that we were treated fairly. They did things they didn't have to do and we didn't expect, but all I can say is, they took care of us. Grade - A + The management company who is in charge of reservations and check in - UGH !!! Where do I start ? My guess is that they do fine if all they have to do is enter information into the computer and take your money. I could spend a long time about the 20 phone calls we made plus a dozen emails we sent, but to summarize, we could only speak with a rep IN FLORIDA from the 7th thru the 10th BECAUSE THE OFFICE ON THE ISLAND WAS CLOSED. I can understand it for the most part, but restaurants and hotels WERE OPEN ON THE 9th ! . Unreal. After you hear excuse after excuse after excuse and no way to speak to someone within 100 miles of the property even when business is resuming..... maybe they can see that it is 'an opportunity for improvement.....' Grade - F minus Were we to have left it up to the management company , we would not be able to get in until the 12th. However, due to the owners intervention, we were able to get in on the 10th. So, on a positive note, this is a VERY NICE 1 BR condo, reasonably priced, on a quiet beach area, well stocked, and CLEAN. The owners are great to work with, and again, I thank them for enabling this trip to happen."
