  • BEST Vacation Home BY FAR!

"My family and brother's family have been vacationing together for years in Wild Dunes. This home was hands down the best yet! It was perfectly spotless and perfectly decorated. The photos do not give it justice. We have never stayed in the Grand Pavilion neighborhood so that was a plus. The kids loved being soo close, as did the adults. We only had one small issue...one of the kids broke one of the shower converter things and Beth/Brad had a repair man over that same day to fix it. The entire process from beginning to end was perfect and we appreciate it all. We HIGHLY recommend this home and plan to be back next year!"

  • The Marsh House - August 2016

"The renting process was very smooth with the keys arriving 1 week prior. Detail instructions very helpful and accurate. The house is located at the back of Wild Dunes so you have a very quite and peaceful place to relax and WOW the views. We spent every morning and every evening into the night on that back porch. So very relaxing. The location and the views are the highlight of this vacation property! The second floor features two bedrooms and a shared bath. The architecture of the home allows both bedrooms to open to the main floor which diminishes privacy on the second floor. The noise of the main floor (emptying the dishwasher or having the ball game on) seems to echo on the second floor so if you have teenagers that like to sleep in that might be an issue. We enjoy to cook and found the kitchen lacking of some essentials (platters, serving bowls, prep bowls, appetizer plates) but we understand that most people go on vacation not to cook! The towels are in need of upgrades. They are of a better quality but are faded. The couch had also seen it's better days. I know we rented at the end of a very busy season but all of the doors and door jams were in need of a very good clean. The bikes were functional to a minimum degree (the chain slips bad on one beach bike and the other one makes a clunking noise). There are two other bikes available (not for the beach) and one of them (white one) works beautifully but the blue one's gears are messing up. We also found it very inconvenient to take the trash to the dumpster the day you leave. I just don't understand why you can't leave it in the trash bins. Overall the property was a delight! We would rent again without taking the teenagers (that would elevate most of the problems we had with the property: Noise, cooking, bikes). Compare to most homes in this price point the house is very nice!"

  • My Island Getsway

"Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I returned to Wild Dunes for what has become my annual October beach retreat i was all set for a three week get away to the Island on the day Hurricane Matthew hit the coast, the staff at Island Realty notified me immediately when Governor Haley ordered evacuation for the SC coast; also were prompt notifying me when it was lifted and I could check in. The moment I walked into my condo at Port 'O Call I knew my getaway was off to a great start; the condo was beautifully decorated and absolutely sparkled! I was in an ocean front condo and had a glorious view of the ocean, I was steps away from the beach AND a screened porch equipped with rockers completed my home away from home. I love the beach in October, I had perfect weather during my stay , blue skies during the day and beautiful harvest moons hanging over the ocean by night which Ienjoyed from my rocker on the porch . My bed was perfectly comfortable and the ocean lulled me to sleep. I enjoyed eating at the many Restaurants which are close by. My kitchen was also fully equipped for the nights my guests and I cooked in. The staff at Island Realty were so courteous and helpful anytime I reached out to them . My trip was five star all the way around, I plan to go again next year and will once again stay at Port 'O Call! I would recommend Wild Dunes to anyone in search of a perfect beach vacation!"

  • Wonderful rental experience from start to finish!

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this condo in early August. It was beautifully appointed, very clean and comfortable. It was great for our family of 5 (mom, dad, 2 college kids and a younger teenager). Appreciated that there were some supplies present (dishwasher pods, sponges, salt/pepper, etc.) that you need but might not think to bring. Owner was very responsive and informative from our initial inquiry via email, to after we left (my husband left something behind that he needed and Steve went above and beyond to help get it mailed back.).Washer and dryer very helpful! We enjoyed using the bike trail for walking and biking, and went into Mount Pleasant for dinners, as well as took a couple of day excursions into Charleston. The beach was a short walk (I'd say @ 6-7 minutes) and is a lovely beach. We learned that using the tide schedule that is in the condo is useful in planning a beach day. We did use the IOP beach chair delivery service for about 3 days and it worked well; nice not to drag chairs and umbrella to beach. We will definitely return if we come to IOP again for our vacation!"
