  • Seasoned IOP vacationer

"Returning from another wonderful IOP vacation. We have stayed at many Wild Dunes condos/homes over the last 20 years. Mariners Walk is an ocean front complex about 2/3 of the way down beach toward the point. Good amount of beach even with high tide. This complex has 2 access points which is very nice. One has stair and the other a ramp so you can take wagon, wheelchair stroller as long as it has not rained significantly because the water can obstruct beach access. Nice pool with a separate baby pool. Not many chairs tables or shade. Very crowded in summer. Bedroom are good size but no king beds. Like the 2 full in one of the bedrooms instead of twins. The first floor is crowded with the huge leather sofa and kitchen is tiny. I like to cook and thus was not ideal! Many of the condos in the area in this price range have been remodeled and this one could use a little. Still pretty clean but carpet could use update. Lots of steps so better for those who don't have mobility issues. Nice owners who are easy to work with. Bring your own beach chairs if you don't like sitting on camping chairs."

  • We had a blast!

"Nice home, quite neighborhood, exactly as Kaye describes it. Fully stocked kitchen with top of the line appliances, very comfortable furnishings. 4 of us spent 5 days there at the end of July and we had a blast. Kaye and her husband are very easy to contact along with them being willing to accommodate special requests if needed, we asked for an early check in due to our early flight which was granted. We did have an issue with the brand new A/C unit at 8:00 PM but she had it repaired and running again within 2 hours, that could have been a disaster as it was 97 degrees and humid that day. The only 2 things I would point out is the beach is a bit of a walk from the unit but the pools are fairly close, but as far as towels for the beach and pool are concerned I would suggest you bring your own. My wife and Aunt were put in a bit of an embarrassing situation when they asked for a towel at the pool and were told they were not available to “you people” as they were not guests of the resort, only renters. This was said out loud and it seemed to only pertain to them (not a race issue so please do not think that). If you need towels for the beach or pool I suggest either you bring them or Kaye provide them in the unit. Charleston and Isle of Palms are beautiful and well worth the visit. So many restaurants and sites to visit. I strongly suggest you have at least 1 meal at Pages Fried Okra, just be prepared for bit of a wait. Thank you Kaye!"

  • Vacation

"Location was great. Pictures don't do it justice. It is Right on the ocean in beautiful community. The place was Very quiet with mostly families with children. The inside was a little dated but we weren't there for the inside."
