  • summer 2016 beach vacate

"Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: overall excellent island realty did a nice job with getting the house ready and smooth check in and out experience the pool was a really nice feature and it was well kept. Kitchen had everything we needed for 10 guests. one little hitch was discovering while cooking our propane was empty. I would suggest a replacement tank either stored downstairs or a new one replaced every few weeks regardless of use. The grill could be better maintained as well."

  • Great location overlooking pool area, steps away from the beach

"This was just right for my sister and I. We had family staying in two additional condos at Mariner's Walk and this was perfect for us. Very nicely & comfortably furnished. I'm already looking ahead to when I can rent this unit again. The owners were very easy to deal with and I found this unit to have better kitchen appliances & supplies than I've experienced in other rental units. I would love to rent this unit again in the future and would not hesitate to recommend it to others."

  • Ohio couple share a relaxing week on the beach!

"This is our 2nd visit to the Shipwatch Wild Dunes complex. This is the perfect place if you want to be away from the noise of a typical beach, but close enough to enjoy some of the greatest food in the country. My wife and I came for a week and brought our road bikes. In the morning we would ride from the condo all over Isle of Palms and Sullivan's Island, seeing the historic sites and beautiful houses. We would return in the late morning and hang out at the beach and read/swim for 4 to 5 hours, then in the evening make the 20 minute drive into Charleston to enjoy fabulous dining. The last night we ate at the Boat House (on the south end of the island, a place we have driven and rode by hundreds of times but never stopped) and it was also fantastic. The north end of Isle of Palms where Shipwatch is located is not very crowded, is very quiet, there is a lot of good walking along the beach, and the waves were fantastic the week we were there ! This was good for me, but my wife wasn't thrilled. This owner had a storage closet with beach chairs and a boogie board that we could use, which was very convenient. We will definitely return again next year, because there are still areas we still want to explore."

  • Great location, amenities, host extremely responsive

"Had hotel reservation and decided to look for something else. This was perfect and actually cheaper than hotel. And we did not have to sit on the bed all day and leave for cleaning. This property has a great view. It is very well kept and has most everything you need. The host left wine and water which we very much appreciated. Was nice to spread out and relax, having two TV's allowed me to see some sports and wife to watch something else! The view from the bedroom is outstanding also, nothing better than waking up and seeing the water. Wild Dunes has much to offer, did not have time for golf but did tennis clinic for couple of hours, I am a bit advanced and I was able to get a great workout in. Just outside Wild Dunes is grocery shopping, would use that as opposed to small grocery inside Dunes, limited supply and cost more. The outside grocery was very very nice and had nice selection of wines. Its not too far a drive to downtown Charleston and we did do some things there, but Isle of Palms has many nice restaurants also. As we were booking we were hoped the pictures and listing did it justice. Our experience was even better than we hoped. I would highly recommend this place and thank the host again for his responsiveness."
