  • Paradise in Kiawah!

"Our family spent a week in Kiawah and can not say enough about this fabulous home! The bedroom layout is excellent for a larger group and the open space is divided into three separate gathering spaces, an upper "family room", a main family room and a garage area that is set up with loads of fun activities for kids of all ages. The family has gone out of their way to provide wagons to load items for the beach and even has a nice selection of beach chairs, an umbrella, and towels for use during your stay. The kitchen is stocked extremely well and we found we lacked for nothing while eating meals at the house. There is even a wine fridge! The views are amazing from any part of the home and we found ourselves enjoying the screened in porch at all hours of the day! Very relaxing to play a game or read a book! Finally, there are numerous activities to keep a family busy on the island of Kiawah and plenty of excellent dining options. The house "manual" which was thoughtfully put together by the owners, thoroughly covered all of our activity options and helped us make decisions on where to eat and how to spend our days. We can't wait to return to Kiawah and book this home again!!! Many thanks!"

  • For our family of four, 2 adults and 2 children, it was ok for a short stay.

"The property is very convenient and the furnishings have been upgraded. The kitchen and the bathrooms however need some upgrading or sprucing up. With 2 children you need to be able to prepare a few meals and the supply of pots and utensils are past their prime. One of the toilets was running and running. We attempted to contact the property manager and owner but ended up just having to turn it off and not use it. We were also unable to adjust the thermostat which was set at 75 which on the rainy and very humid days it was very close in the unit even with the ceiling fans running. We are not the family who would set it to 65 but a few degrees cooler would have been a bit more comfortable. The property was clean. We enjoyed our stay but who wouldn't on such a beautiful island."

  • Another fabulous vacation!

"This was our third time visiting Kiawah. When we were looking for a place to stay few years ago we found Kiawah Island Getaways, and we were happy to rent the property through Shawn and Jeanette. They are wonderful. They thought of every single detail. The property is tastefully decorated. The kitchen is fully equipped, beds are comfortable and linens/towels are great quality. The property also has a washer and dryer which was great when traveling with kids. We are planning on visiting Kiawah next year. It became our family's favorite place."

  • Beautiful stay in an ideal location

"This vacation was really all we would have hoped it would be. We visited the Angel Oak on our way in. Then the rest of the time was split between beach, pool and bike riding. I am an avid golfer and have played these courses many times. I did not play on this trip but highly recommend all of the courses. The villa was excellent. I especially enjoyed the screened in porch over looking the pond. Highly recommend it."
