  • Great location to the beach.

"The property has one really great asset, it is very close to the ocean with easy access to Kiawah's beautiful and friendly beach. It was a good fit for the family and the owner's responded to our needs in a timely manner. The house decorating scheme is a little dated, but the furniture was comfortable and clean. We spent most of the day at the beach or on a bike path. There are great bike paths all around the island. The setting was a great, refreshing change for us as we live in the midwest. The sunset on the marsh, the abundance to natural wildlife, pelicans and cranes, egrets and osprey were fun for us to see. There are also alligators in many of the ponds on Kiawah and as we biked, we looked for them. This house is a good place for a small family and we would recommend it."

  • Perfect Vacation

"This was my second visit to Kiawah, but my husband's first. This villa was perfect. We had 4 kids with us and we had plenty of room. The villa is incredibly clean and updated and had everything we could possibly need and then some. The owner is incredibly easy to work with. We spent a week here and couldn't have been happier. We were just a minute from the park and the pool and no more than a quick 5 minute walk to the beach and the ocean. This was, by far, our best family vacation ever!"

  • A Lovely Spacious Home!

"The photos do not depict how stately this home is...from its lovely grand foyer to the comfortable en suite bathrooms to the 10-foot ceilings and wide hallways! We loved having a truly comfortable and open floor plan for visiting and cooking together. The kitchen is very well stocked (all kinds of skillets, serving bowls, wine glasses, a blender, dish soap, etc.) and easy to work in while still being part of the group. Having bikes available in the basement was a true bonus! Tire pumps and tools handy if necessary. One of the most fun times was riding to the ocean at twilight on the bikes. A couple times deer were spotted up close. Our king-size bed/mattress was very comfortable, and our guests echoed this sentiment. The upstairs bedrooms are well-appointed (though we didn't find any extra sheets) and quiet enough for babies to take their day naps. There is a lovely painted wooden rocker which is perfect for taking a special photo of the little ones on the front landing. Brenda was extremely communicative and available any time I needed her by phone or by email. That is very important, because I couldn't find my papers upon entering the first gate to Kiawah! Brenda was only a phone call away. There were a few negatives (some unrelated to the home, I realize) and they include the following. The extreme heat and humidity prevented us from enjoying the screened-in porch or deck. The sauna-like conditions in August and "jungle-like" nature of the island kept away any breeze. But the air conditioners on both levels did their jobs, and we were quite comfortable inside. Further, the ocean is very dense with sand so the water is very murky. I recommend taking the available ocean floats located in the unfinished basement which were still sandy from the last guests. The lawn of this home is not suited for children to play outside as the foliage is densex and (BIG) spiders build huge webs all around. It is beautiful, but plan on the beach for outside play. Lastly, the rinse-off shower is located underneath the screened-in porch in a shed-like structure that is dark and closed in, a small issue because there are plenty of showers inside. We had such a good time in this beautiful home and want to thank the owners for listing it and for allowing us to experience the South Carolina's Kiawah Island!"

  • A Relaxing Two weeks in a great location.

"Our family of six stayed in this house for two weeks this summer. Our first trip to Kiawah was relaxing and well spent family time. The house was the perfect size for all of us, the pool was by far the highlight of our stay for our kids. We enjoyed biking to the beach (we rented our bikes) and when it was too hot for the kids we would spend the rest of the day at the pool. Beds and linens were great, kitchen well supplied, sectional sofa very comfortable. The only draw back, and it is minimal, would be the traffic noise from the busier Kiawah Island Parkway which is right behind the bike path in the backyard...the house is well cared for and updated and the wifi was a nice treat for everyone in our group. I personally loved the porch swing, so peaceful to sit outside in the late afternoon or early morning and enjoy the southern charm of the house. thank you for a wonderful family vacation."
