  • Perfect House with Pool for everyone in the family!

"We stayed at this lovely home for two weeks while friends and family came to visit us! We just love Kiawah! It's a very practical lay-out and having the pool just out back that you can see from the living room and kitchen area is awesome - especially with kids! The pool was heaven for not so perfect weather days at the beach and it's so nice to come back from the beach and take a dip! The laundry room was also great! There are hooks everywhere and it was a treat to have beach and pool towels already provided by the owners - this is so nice and this is the first time I've seen this renting a home!! It's really a short 5 minute bike ride and 10 minute walk to the beach!! And, the house was clean! And so, I would definitely rent this home again! Just fantastic!!"

  • A Lovely Spacious Home!

"The photos do not depict how stately this home is...from its lovely grand foyer to the comfortable en suite bathrooms to the 10-foot ceilings and wide hallways! We loved having a truly comfortable and open floor plan for visiting and cooking together. The kitchen is very well stocked (all kinds of skillets, serving bowls, wine glasses, a blender, dish soap, etc.) and easy to work in while still being part of the group. Having bikes available in the basement was a true bonus! Tire pumps and tools handy if necessary. One of the most fun times was riding to the ocean at twilight on the bikes. A couple times deer were spotted up close. Our king-size bed/mattress was very comfortable, and our guests echoed this sentiment. The upstairs bedrooms are well-appointed (though we didn't find any extra sheets) and quiet enough for babies to take their day naps. There is a lovely painted wooden rocker which is perfect for taking a special photo of the little ones on the front landing. Brenda was extremely communicative and available any time I needed her by phone or by email. That is very important, because I couldn't find my papers upon entering the first gate to Kiawah! Brenda was only a phone call away. There were a few negatives (some unrelated to the home, I realize) and they include the following. The extreme heat and humidity prevented us from enjoying the screened-in porch or deck. The sauna-like conditions in August and "jungle-like" nature of the island kept away any breeze. But the air conditioners on both levels did their jobs, and we were quite comfortable inside. Further, the ocean is very dense with sand so the water is very murky. I recommend taking the available ocean floats located in the unfinished basement which were still sandy from the last guests. The lawn of this home is not suited for children to play outside as the foliage is densex and (BIG) spiders build huge webs all around. It is beautiful, but plan on the beach for outside play. Lastly, the rinse-off shower is located underneath the screened-in porch in a shed-like structure that is dark and closed in, a small issue because there are plenty of showers inside. We had such a good time in this beautiful home and want to thank the owners for listing it and for allowing us to experience the South Carolina's Kiawah Island!"

  • Amazing week in Kiawah

"Stayed for a week in this beautiful home. The pictures on the internet do not do it justice. The living room was bright and spacious and we all enjoyed relaxing there after a long day at the beach. The kids especially enjoyed watching the 3D movies. The four bedroom and four bathrooms were wonderful and gave everyone their own space. Our two grandsons loved having their own room upstairs. It was a very hot muggy week so we were not able to enjoy the outside decks as much as we would have liked but we did spend a lot of time on the screened porch which had a ceiling fan. The kitchen was beautiful and even had a separate ice maker that was great for taking food and drinks to the beach. The neighborhood is quiet and no main road to cross to get to the bike path. The 5-minute bike ride to the beach through the Alle of the Oaks was easy and peaceful – even our 5-year-old loved it and had no problem keeping up with everyone. The view of the golf course was beautiful and we enjoyed watching the deer and her babies. The beach on Kiawah is beautiful. We all had a wonderful week and have already made plans to return to this wonderful home next year!"

  • 3 couples and 1 week of fun!!

"We enjoyed this house greatly!! From the moment we walked in and found a beautiful and spacious home, we were delighted!! We were with 2 other couples and we all had our own suites. We had plenty of privacy yet enjoyed cooking together in the huge kitchen. The dining table in the kitchen was big enough for us all so we never used the dining room but that was even bigger. What I enjoyed most about the house was the swimming pool and the view of the golf course. The beach was close, just a short bike ride or walk. I would highly recommend this home to everyone!! This home is past the second gate. Both the living room and family room were large. The A/C worked wonderfully too!! My husband had been in contact with the owner and he was easily accessible and very helpful! We plan on making this an annual trip with our friends and agreed to rent this beautiful home again!!"
