  • Can't wait to go back to this villa!

"We loved this villa! It's located so close to the Barth Tennis Complex and the tennis club adult pool. My husband and son thoroughly enjoyed the Monday morning free demo clinic. They had the friendliest tennis pro instructing their large group. Having the resort amenities included with this rental put it way over the top! We really enjoyed our fun times at the Night Heron pools. My guys loved playing pickup basketball with the other boys in the pool. The Night Heron Park complex provides pool towels, carry-ins are allowed, pool toys are acceptable, even the pool chairs are allowed in the water. We rented bikes for the whole week for under $100 from alligatorbike.com., great bikes and service. The villa was immaculately cleaned and the room layout was perfect for privacy between the bedrooms suites. We all slept great on the comfy beds. Everything was easy to figure out with Barbara's thorough welcome letter. So many extras were included with this rental. We loved having a crockpot and a colander provided in the nice kitchen. Watching the gators out the big windows was a favorite pastime, especially while sitting in the screened in porch. And watching the birds and squirrels was continually entertaining. The path to the beach is mostly shaded making it a very comfortable walk. So nice of the owners to let us use their beach chairs and water toys. We were thrilled with this villa! We will be back!! Thank you Barbara and Tommy for sharing your Kiawah home with us."

"Here for a long weekend. First Visit to Kiawah. We had a Wonderful time. This condo has the BEST lagoon view. Very Relaxing. Close to many many things to see. The included "resort" amenities were fantastic. Can't wait to go back. Would stay here again!."

  • A Lovely Spacious Home!

"The photos do not depict how stately this home is...from its lovely grand foyer to the comfortable en suite bathrooms to the 10-foot ceilings and wide hallways! We loved having a truly comfortable and open floor plan for visiting and cooking together. The kitchen is very well stocked (all kinds of skillets, serving bowls, wine glasses, a blender, dish soap, etc.) and easy to work in while still being part of the group. Having bikes available in the basement was a true bonus! Tire pumps and tools handy if necessary. One of the most fun times was riding to the ocean at twilight on the bikes. A couple times deer were spotted up close. Our king-size bed/mattress was very comfortable, and our guests echoed this sentiment. The upstairs bedrooms are well-appointed (though we didn't find any extra sheets) and quiet enough for babies to take their day naps. There is a lovely painted wooden rocker which is perfect for taking a special photo of the little ones on the front landing. Brenda was extremely communicative and available any time I needed her by phone or by email. That is very important, because I couldn't find my papers upon entering the first gate to Kiawah! Brenda was only a phone call away. There were a few negatives (some unrelated to the home, I realize) and they include the following. The extreme heat and humidity prevented us from enjoying the screened-in porch or deck. The sauna-like conditions in August and "jungle-like" nature of the island kept away any breeze. But the air conditioners on both levels did their jobs, and we were quite comfortable inside. Further, the ocean is very dense with sand so the water is very murky. I recommend taking the available ocean floats located in the unfinished basement which were still sandy from the last guests. The lawn of this home is not suited for children to play outside as the foliage is densex and (BIG) spiders build huge webs all around. It is beautiful, but plan on the beach for outside play. Lastly, the rinse-off shower is located underneath the screened-in porch in a shed-like structure that is dark and closed in, a small issue because there are plenty of showers inside. We had such a good time in this beautiful home and want to thank the owners for listing it and for allowing us to experience the South Carolina's Kiawah Island!"
