  • Fabulous stay at Pelican Watch!

"We enjoyed an amazing stay at this villa for 4th of July. Great location right on the water and easy walk to beach club pool with pool access included. Spacious 2+ BR, 3 BA was great set up for our family of 5. Washer dryer and well stocked kitchen were very handy as well. It is also very easy access to restaurants, grocery and shopping at Bohicket and Freshfields Village. Its also easy access to Kiawah for various additional excursions and dining options. We enjoyed biking, fishing, hanging on the balcony at night and were constantly surprised by wildlife of all sorts everywhere we went. One of our best family vacations ever!"

  • Comfortable and clean!

"We spent a few days here for our 15 year anniversary. What a beautiful place!! It was very well stocked and clean. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook our own meals (we picked up groceries on the way to the island). The lawn chairs and bikes were great to have available to us ... we enjoyed our bike ride to Kiawah beach and the chairs were great for an afternoon on the beach at Seabrook .... where we saw about 15 dolphins right off the shoreline! Very comfortable ... we watched a movie two evenings staying there. Walking to the ice cream shop (which also had breakfast!) and listening to live music at the end of the boardwalk was a great experience. The only thing we would suggest is putting a blind or curtain over the back door. Would stay here again and recommend for sure!"

  • A hidden treasure- wonderful location, great amenities, prompt owner customer service, ample space

"We had a wonderful time in our home away from home for 2 weeks. We definitely hope to return and would recommend staying at this property to our friends and family! Sue was a pleasure to coordinate with! She was very quick in her responses, accommodating to our needs, helpful in requests for information of bike rentals and things to do. The amenities of the unit felt as though you were in your own home. Seabrook restaurant Pelican Nest had excellent food and views. The amenity card with access to the pool and restaurant was helpful and we think "a must have" when staying on Seabrook Island. The location was excellent for access to all that Seabrook Island offers. The location was also close enough to Charleston so we could drive there to enjoy what they have to offer! We enjoyed tours of the USS Yorktown, Fort Sumter, Civil War and slavery tours, ghost tours and market street shopping. We hope to make Sue's house a regular vacation spot for years to come."

  • Family Reunion

"We love Seabrook Island. This is the second time in four years that we have had a family reunion there. This time there were 29 members of my family attending. We rented 5 houses for this event. Our house by far was the most popular, not only because of its size, but also because it is set up perfectly for this type of event. With various seating areas we were able to hold a brunch without everyone sitting on top of each other. In the evenings the adults would sit in the screened in porch and rehash our lives, while the kids had a room with a tv, so they were content. They also worked on a puzzle that was supplied by the house. Their goal was to complete it before we left. Mission accomplished! The management company was very responsive with the couple of problems we had. Our issues were resolved within a couple of hours, so we never had to sit around and waste precious beach time. It would have been helpful, however if the management company kept an inventory as to what the house had to offer. I had called and asked specifically about items for the beach, and was told there were only two chairs. When we arrived we discovered a canopy, an umbrella and boogie boards. These were all items we had hauled from Michigan. The house was very clean, though there are areas that could b updated (all the bathrooms.) It might just be us, but we would have found it helpful if the upstairs loft was actually a bedroom. When we were there four years ago in June we were thrilled to happen upon the sea turtle tracks and seethe turtle patrol moving the eggs. We deliberately planned to go in August the view the turtles hatch. We were so excited when this happened. It is an amazing sight to see them make their way to the ocean. The other thing I really wanted to see was the dolphins strand feeding. It is a long walk along the beach to see this at Capn Sams Inlet, but so worth the effort. Seabrook Island is a photographer's dream. Not only the property itself, with beautiful sunrises and wildlife, but also the surrounding area, specifically Boneyard Beach and Old Sheldon Church ruins. The only complaint I have, is that a sign needs to be posted that the sand on the path to the beach is extremely hot. So hot, that my son-in-law blistered his feet. Something us northerners would never expect. We have hot sand, but nothing like that. Upon leaving the house our grandchildren all agreed that this house we need to rent again. That is high praise."
