"This condo was a great choice for my family, and it was an easy way for the four of us to enjoy the island with all the comforts of home.
The condo is not huge, but is well laid out, and we enjoyed it. Our little guys (ages 3 and 5) slept well in the hallway bunk beds, and there is a door between the bunk beds and living area so that hubby and I could stay up and hang out without waking up the kids.
Having a 1st floor unit was nice. There is still one flight you have to manage, but still better than climbing 4 flights with all your gear!
The complex's pools are smaller than many resorts we have been to, but they were great for us. Our 3 toddler spent many hours in the kiddie pool playing with his diving sticks and cars. Our older child learned how to swim confidently without floaties on this trip, and he was doing great in the deep end by the end of the week. So cool! I'm not sure he would have been as confident in a bigger pool. We enjoyed swimming too, and relaxing poolside. While the tables with umbrellas were sometimes taken, we never had trouble getting a lounger. There were many families with young kids on vacation in the complex during our stay, and our kids enjoyed playing with the same kids every day. We enjoyed socializing a little bit with the other parents too.
Beach access is ideal. You are a quick walk from the surf, and there are no steps to worry about after you get to ground floor, so pulling a beach wagon or walking a bike is easy. Showers and foot sprays are located on your way. There were two lifeguard stands just outside the complex (more eyes on your kids!). If you're interested, there are rental umbrella and chairs on beach for a fee (we just hauled our own).
Location is also ideal. Coligny Plaza is across the street, with lots of shops and restaurants, and with evening activities too. I walked to Piggly Wiggly when we arrived, filled up our beach wagon with groceries, then carted them home. The chin strap on our toddler's beach hat broke, and it literally took me 10 minutes to walk to the beach shop by the complex, buy a replacement (and some extra sand toys), then come back to the beach. Feeling lazy with your lunch plans? Send someone across the street to Subway for sandwiches. Ready for ice cream, cupcakes, Rita's frozen custard? That's all a quick walk away as well. We biked to other restaurants and a children's museum too.
Parking was plentiful and close, so were bike racks. A security guard is always on site"
