  • Best Place to Stay on Hilton Head Island

"This was the 4th year my family and I stayed at this beautiful villa. I just can't say enough good things about it. We love that it is less than 500 steps to the beach (clocked by Garmin!). The pool is right out the back door but yet, because of the landscaping, you really can't see the pool when you are sitting on the back patio--privacy & convenience!. My grandkids love that the General Store with its soft serve ice cream and awesome breakfast is just a short walk or an even shorter bike ride away. The villa is spacious, clean, well equipped and so comfortable. I always tell people that Hilton Head is our favorite place on earth and this villa is one of our favorite things about Hilton Head."

  • Great location and wonderful layout.

"Our vacation began with attentive and kind service from Bob, himself. He was informative and compassionate as we needed to make some last minute plans. I am so grateful. The actual home is in a perfect location in Palmetto Dunes. We walked to tennis every morning, walked to the beach in the afternoon, walked to rent bikes, walked to rent kayaks, walked to lunch. It is close to everything. Our family has 6 people (4 kids). The layout gave everyone their own space and bathroom. Each bedroom has its own porch. It gave us time together and time to be on our own. We loved it. Thanks so much, Bob!"

  • Decent place, walking distance to the beach.

"The house was clean and well kept, but could use some finishing touches. The upstairs bedroom facing the golf course could use new mattresses, and the 2nd floor AC wasn't 100% efficient. The first day it took some time to cool of the upstairs (was 80 degrees when we go in), and regardless of the setting, the temperature would go up to 75-77 by late noon (3-5 pm). It would go down to desired setting by 9 pm. The first floor AC worked perfectly. There are two small tv in each bedroom, reception was OK. The grill needs to be cleaned - we didn't use it because of it. One of the bikes is also busted - we brought our own bikes, so no issue there. WiFi was great in the lower floor, but not very good reception in the upper floors. Kitchen was clean and well stocked (plates etc..) Fridge worked great. Overall, great stay, good location, quiet place, plenty of parking, nice dining table, plenty of pillows, linens, and each bedroom had closet space - bring your own hangers. If we decide to stay in the same area of the island, will definitely try to stay there again."

  • Accurate Listing-Great Condo! Nice place, affordable-Thank you to the owners!

"We booked this condo last minute and the owner was more than accommodating with plans changing and such. The condo was cheerier in person and the pictures are an accurate presentation of the place. The kitchen had the basics for cooking a simple meal (meat, potatoes, salad), (bacon, eggs, toast) or whatever and we were able to use the charcoal grill with no problem. The kitchen also had plenty of dishware and we used the coffee pot and toaster while we were there. The beach is a very close and easy walk- I would say, including the beach path, about 1/2 block. The pool is exactly as pictured-basic but great, it was warm and clean and is VERY close from the back patio. The beds were comfortable, great TVs, washer and dryer worked for us and no carpeting made the place feel cleaner(easier to sweep sand up after a day at the beach). We liked that we could send the kids upstairs after dinner, showered after a day at the beach and they could veg for the evening -watching cartoons or playing a game. The entrance to Palmetto Dunes is right across from Shelter Cove and very close to Kroeger grocery store and other places. We biked some of Palmetto Dunes and the General Store is easy to bike to. The general store had nearly anything you might need and wasn't too pricy. We did not ride bikes out of Palmetto Dunes, as we weren't confident with our little ones along highway 278. We drove to Coligny Plaza for a day of shopping-it was not far. We went when many were back in school but the beach at Palmetto Dunes was nearly empty and not nearly as packed as the beach near Coligny. We weren't sure of water quality(we forgot to ask) so we brought/bought and used bottled water. Our children are ages 5-10 (4 of them) and we felt this condo worked out perfectly for our family-it felt spacious and was nice to come back to after a day in the sun. The only complaint we might register was for the cleaners to do just a bit more of a sweeping before arrival(we mentioned to Island Getaway)-BUT it was not unclean, just felt like it could've been freshened up a bit-please note our 5 star rating -just mentioning it. If you stay at this condo you may need: More towels, kitchen rags, dish detergent Laundry detergent, fabric softener Condiments Blanket/Throws for chilling on the couch Board games/Books/Things to do Something to transport items to beach easily First Aid items Paper products, napkins etc I tried to cover everything -hope it helps those who are looking/ I know reviews help"
