"There are so many things my family and I loved about our stay here, I'd much rather have kept it a secret. However, it was so great that it wouldn't be fair not to share.
The furnishings were perfect for the 6 of us---3 adults, 1 college kid, a teenager and a middle-schooler. Plenty of room at mealtimes and movie nights. The decor was warm and functional without being kitschy or "beachy." The bedrooms had very nice beds, plenty of closet space and dressers , and nice private baths. I would even say a bit "hotel-like." Sturdy and beautiful. The memory-foam topped king bed in the master bedroom was particularly heavenly! The patio (accessible from the living room and master bedroom) opens to a common area in the distance, but it was quiet with lots of birds and bugs chirping, and a favorite place of ours early in the morning.
The location is great-- 2 blocks to the general store (expensive!), about 10-15 minute walk to the beach, and an easy bike ride to almost everything. Pro tip: rent bikes if you're able and bring a back pack for trips to the grocery store. We spent a week there and hardly used our cars. Kroger, Whole Foods, restaurants, and the gym (Lava24 fitness) were all about a 5-10 minute bike ride away. The bike path goes under the main roadway so it's very safe and good for Pokemon hunting.
The unit is also located close to the extra parking lot which was very convenient. There are 2 pools in the Queens grant community and we accidentally went to the far one. It was smaller than we would have hoped, but fine for a dip or for a little diversion. Instead, I would recommend heading to the beach instead. You can call the Dunes Buggy to pick you up and take you if you don't feel like walking. The fact that this was the hardest decision we had to make on the trip shows you what a luxurious stay we had!
The bottom line is that this place somehow felt like home and also had many comforts of a rental. Highly recommended."
