  • Beach and Tennis Heaven

"Comfort and convenience are the two big pluses here in Susan and Dale Huffman's Port Royal Village condo. All the beach "toys" (good quality chairs, wagon, beach towels, etc.) are available, and the beach is just a short stroll away. The beach park has a very good kiddie equipment area, showers, bathrooms, and a boardwalk down to the sand. The condo itself is well equipped. The two bedrooms are separated nicely. Both have very large bathrooms. The tennis facilities here are excellent and there are many people' playing every day. I took several tennis clinics and played Pickleball, too.a bike shop delivered two bicycles which we locked to the racks nearby. We rode every day. We stayed 7 nights; another couple joined us for three of those nights. We loved it. I would come back here for sure."

  • Great condo, great host

"My family of 3 rented this condo for 3 nights over Thanksgiving for its location, good quality, high value and easy walking accessibility to a top notch tennis facility and the beach. All descriptions, photos and reviews were accurate. The condo fully met our needs - plus it had every detail covered and was stocked with needed supplies, comfortable, clean and in good condition. The condo's entrance is on the 2nd floor, so climbing some steps to enter is required. The condo itself is two stories, so the elevation provided nice breeze and views from the back deck. Port Royal is a beautiful, charming plantation. Our host was terrific - he was easy to work with, responsive via email and phone, and available when we needed to answer a question. I highly recommend this condo and would stay there again."

  • Another enjoyable stay.

"Our third time returning to this rental and we hope to keep coming back in the future. The owner is great to work with and prompt to reply to questions. I would recommend this to anyone wanting to have more space to spread out and not be cooped up in a hotel room but still have all the amenities of a great resort. The Westin had some good activities for the kids to be involved with during the day and the staff was helpful. We rented bikes this trip, which made for some fun evening rides to get ice cream or go play at one of the nearby parks. There is a bike rack right at the bottom of the stairs, which made it very convenient. The weather was very hot during our stay so we can certainly vouch for how well the air conditioning works! All in all a great trip."

  • Like me: showing my age a bit, but still pretty good to look at! :o)

"As suggested, in the title, don't expect a traditional five-star property. But that's not what it's meant to be. What it is, is a comfortable, relaxed property in the loveliest of settings. And, speaking of settings, watching sunrise from our oceanfront balcony...and eating dinner while watching day turn into night, while being caressed by gentle ocean breezes, was shear perfection. Our villa was fully equipped, clean, quiet -- except for the refrigerator, which tended to say "hello," every once in a while. And we preferred bottled water. But, these things don't even detract one star's worth. Our view of the ever changing skies above the water and walking on a sandy, un-crowded beach right outside our door more than made up for those things. Would I recommend this villa to a friend? Without hesitation."
