  • Beautiful home, great location!

"We just returned from our 10-day stay at 90 South Sea Pines Drive and we were very pleased with this home. We have been traveling to HHI for 5 years, and this was our first time staying in Sea Pines. Although it felt a bit removed from the busier area of Coligny, it was nice to escape to the peace and quiet. The bike trails in Sea Pines are absolutely beautiful and we enjoyed several family bike rides to Harbour Town and Lawton Stables (about 3.5 miles each). The layout of the home was perfect for our group, which consisted of my mother, my sister and brother-in-law, and my family of four (plus our 3 dogs!). The bonus room was perfect for my family - my husband and I slept in the queen bed and our kids slept in twins. Having the bedrooms on one side of the house, separated from the living area on the other side, made it very easy for everyone to have a sense of privacy and allowed us all to go about our early morning or late night activities without disturbing any sleeping members of our group. The kitchen was large and fairly well equipped, and the dining and living rooms were lovely and spacious. Our only complaint was that there was only one couch in the living room -- perhaps another couch or a sectional would be more comfortable for unwinding and watching late night television. The outside decks and pool area of the home are great. The pool depth ranges from 3 to about 5 feet, which was just perfect for my young kids, but also fine for the adults wanting to cool off after returning from a hot day at the beach. The distance to the beach is a short 10 minute walk (shorter if you don't have little ones trying to keep up!) and being able to use the Tower Beach Club entrance was very convenient. We rode our bikes there and parked them, and were able to use the showers to rinse off before returning to the house. The house is about a half-mile from South Beach Marina, which was great for visiting the Salty Dog Cafe and the various shops there. The owner was easy to contact and very helpful when we experienced issues with the air conditioning. Overall, we had a great vacation in a lovely home!"

  • Great house and close to beach

"Very clean and well furnished house and kitchen. The screened-in pool was a big plus. The beach path is just across the street.I truly appreciated the calls in the days prior to, and during, our stay to ensure we had everything we needed."

  • First Dual-Family Stay at 5 Beachside Drive

"We just completed our first stay at Sea Pines after being loyal Hilton Head vacationers for years. The layout of 5 Beachside was ideal for two families (each with two adults and two young children). The photos don't do justice to the living space, which is perfect for spreading out and enjoying downtime. We utilized the Carolina Room as a play area and the screened porch as a yoga/workout area and adults' retreat after the kids' bedtime. The kitchen was well stocked and dining table was spacious enough for all 8 of our guests. A small pool is a stone's throw from the front door and the Salty Dog Cafe and boardwalk are directly across the street. Harbourtown is a quick drive as well. Concerns: - Cleanliness: Mold in downstairs master bath; floors throughout the home need a thorough cleaning, especially since the unit is marketed to large parties which likely include children. - Wifi and cable service went out completely Fri-Sat (not reported since it was so late in our stay) - Use garbage disposal sparingly--we had to request a service call (though tech did fix the issue quickly) - Small refrigerator, especially for large parties who intend to cook meals in the unit - Though the home has ocean views, proximity to the beach is deceiving. Sand dunes make the walk to the beach difficult with children and beach gear. - Cosmetic: Decor appears cheap, worn and outdated (stains on furniture, knobs missing on dressers, etc.). Owners have obviously invested in the addition of new living space; however, our party was disappointed in the lack of attention paid to furnishings."

  • Family Vacation + Grandparents

"The floor plan of this house allowed two families to stay (2 grandparents upstairs-2 parents, three children downstairs) with plenty of privacy/quiet time when needed but also plenty of room for together time on the main floor. We enjoyed the pool, and the very easy access to the beach walk that led to a beautiful, uncrowded beach where we enjoyed sunrises, sunsets, and amazing star gazing! One valuable benefit of renting this property is that the owner allows use of bikes and beach chairs from their garage which we truly appreciated since packing room is at a premium! Another valuable benefit of renting this property is the owner. We had a few minor hiccups but she was incredibly responsive and intent on solving the problem. She followed up with us to make sure the issue was resolved and that we were having a good time. She truly wants to make sure that families enjoy her lovely beach home. I would definitely recommend this property."
