  • A wonderful home for a family vacation!

"Pros: The rental process was smooth and easy, and the keyless entry to the home made "check-in" super easy. We were able to bypass the office and go straight to the home and get our vacation started! The home was elegant, not the modern aesthetic popular on the island, but a French country look and feel. The eat-in kitchen was ideally situated off of the patio with pool and the comfortable family room. We spent most days relaxing pool side and running back to the kitchen for refreshments--simply perfect! As a mother with a small child, I was able to see the pool from nearly every vantage point on the first floor, even the master bed/bath, which is a definite plus. The pool, which was small enough for a new swimmer to swim safely, is very deep at one end, so parents should be made aware. Even though the house is on a golf course, the home and patio area felt very private. Another plus was the layout of the bedrooms. Each had its own bath and was sufficiently sound proof. Cons (and these are minor): The television in the main family room did not work, but there was another family room with a tv and there were tvs in all of the bedrooms. There was no ceiling fan in one bedroom. We stayed in August so the upstairs sometimes got a bit warm. A ceiling fan would help air flow upstairs. The closest path to the beach was closed during our stay for construction on the course, so beach access was tricky. My family is very neat and we cleaned up daily. It was frustrating that the rental company did not provide enough dishwasher soap, paper towels, or any cleaning supplies. All in all, the home was exactly what we envisioned. Our vacation was absolutely perfect. There is SO much to do on Hilton Island, especially for families with children, that I cannot wait to go back!"

  • Beautiful Home and Wonderful Owners

"My wife and I have spent the months of February and March at this wonderful home. The home is in the perfect location, very close to the beach (5 minute walk) and a short drive or bike ride to all other Sea Pines locations. The house is very clean and very well equipped. The kitchen has everything necessary for a great stay. Located right beside the beach path makes it very easy to get to the beach We did not use the pool ( a little cool in February and March) but I am sure it gets plenty of use in the summer. Each bedroom has its own bath so the house is perfect for families. Jim and Renee were great to work with. They were very flexible and very responsive when we needed them which was not often since the house was perfect. We are already booked to return next winter and can't wait to return to beautiful Hilton Head."

  • Elegant Retreat Combining Historic Savannah & A Spectacular Beach

"My mother, sisters and I totally enjoyed our week-long stay at 17 Snowy Egret on Hilton Head. This beautiful house - right near the beach - provided an ideal backdrop for all of us to enjoy each other's company while affording each of us our own beautiful bedroom and bathroom. We started each day with peaceful walks on the beach, where the ocean offered up interesting gifts for nature lovers, and we encountered only a handful of walkers, bikers and friendly dogs, despite this being a busy period. Our weather (mid-April) was perfect! We spent time in the pool and spa on the property, too, reading and relaxing. Being only an hour from Savannah, we took two partial days to explore the historic treasures of the city, and discovered the cute town of Bluffton (midway between Hilton Head and Savannah), as well as the amazing Savannah National Wildlife Refuge. This home-for-the-week was also a perfect place to cook up lovely dinners and breakfasts, though the best meal out that we experienced was an outdoor seafood lunch at Hudson's Seafood on the Docks and coffee at the Corner Perk in downton Old Bluffton was a big hit. We can't recommend this rental home enough for its setting and elegant appointments. The owners are fastidious hosts and it shows in every detail. Hope to make it back!"
