Recent Beach Walk reviews

  • Super nice place to spend a week getaway !!!

"Previous reviews of this property were spot on. Just to reiterate, the property is super clean, with really nice simple decor that is pleasant. This is a perfect place for a couple. One nice/comfy room, and two full bathrooms. Nice/ample kitchen as well as living room space. TVs at living room and main bedroom. Perfect location to the beach, that's the reason why the complex is called beachwalk, since within Shipyard plantation is the closest property in proximity to the beach. It's literally about 5 minute walk to the beach. If you go in the summer time you will get to enjoy the pool as well which is really nice and with good size. Communication with Mark was excellent and we were were happy with our stay. There's nothing we would add to it...well, more time for us to say but well, work was calling back again :) The property also offers two nice beach chairs that are really practical to carry. Nice outside patio with cool view to a pond right across. Everything at the villa worked just fine. Few restaurant recommendations: One Hot Mamas: I don't think you would picture BBQ at the beach but I tell you, you are for a treat. Nice service and excellent ribs ! best I've tried and I have visited places in Lexington, NC as well as Georgia and other places too. Okko: Japanese restaurant. It's not your typical Japanese. Don't let the shopping center where is located fool you. This is a really nice modern Japanese restaurant with excellent food and great service. 843- yes, that's the name of the restaurant. Brunches there are phenomenal Watusi- breakfast, great variety of coffees. Highly recommended Frankie Bones- seafood or Italian: your pick Wise Guys: a bit upscale for the higher educated pallet. Bit pricy Skullcreek Boathouse: great location, great seafood You won't go wrong choosing this villa as your getaway choice. Enjoy !"

  • A Perfect Setup & Outstanding Owners

"It's hard to imagine a better setup or customer service, and we will definitely consider this unit someday when we return to HHI. Owner has clearly done an excellent job in maintaining and updating this unit. It's near the front of Beachwalk so it's just a few minute walk to the beach, hotel and Van Der Meer tennis. It's a first floor unit with a large master bedroom (wife loved the bright and sunny sitting area and make-up table!), very comfy king size bed, a really neat/stylish master shower and a roomy second bed/bath. I believe the kitchen walls were remodeled. Thus, the living/dining/kitchen areas combine to make a very open floor plan that was excellent for entertaining. The kitchen is very well appointed with MUCH more than just the basics (e.g., crockpot and even two sizes of snack bagclips were available - they thought of everything!). The owners were EXCELLENT. We stayed here just 10 days after Hurricane Matthew struck the island. After the public was allowed to return to the island following evacuation, the owners inspected the unit to ensure that it was in good shape for our arrival (thankfully, it was, although there were downed trees in the parking lot and of course across the entire island). Also, despite checking in very late in the evening, the process was very fast/smooth and our parking pass was ready-and-waiting for us at the guard booth. The security deposit was refunded without hassle just days after we checked out. 100% SATISFIED!!!"

  • Very pleased.

"When we arrived we were very pleased. The property was nicer than the pictures depicted. The villas was very clean, and well equipped. We would definetly return again. The walk to the ocean is a short walk. The kitchen was well equipped, which I appreciated because I do some cooking."

  • Everything you would expect in a rental Villa

"We really lucked in renting this villa. It is clean, spacious and has all the essentials that you need in a kitchen. The location is excellent.. We cycled into other plantations and this for us was the best location. If u didn't want to drive, cook in or Uber to a restaurant the Sonesta Hotel is a short walk from the villa. Go early enough you can walk on the beach and watch the sun set. Having 2 bathrooms was wonderful. The owner was very accommodating and responded to us very quickly. If we return to Hilton Head we would look to rent here first."
