  • Central location on Island, spacious, great value!

"First, Shipyard is a great community and is centrally located on the island. This unit is in a beautiful setting on a lagoon that then overlooks the golf course. We loved the French/European design of the buildings and the way the buildings are set apart and set back from each other your back deck views are beautiful and private, unlike other sections of Shipyard, at Evian you don't feel like you are on top of other units and having to look onto other's decks. Beautiful open views and great bike paths right out the front door. The unit is very large and open inside. Brand new carpet throughout and very clean. Master is very large and I loved the love seat in the corner with 2 adjoining corner windows providing beautiful views each morning and providing a serene reading nook. Master bath newly upgraded and 2nd bedroom is very roomy. My husband and I, son, and grandson, spent our first Thanksgiving away and we could not have been more pleased with everything. The owner was SUPER easy and pleasant to work with, quick to respond, and wonderfully gracious about our travel dates and accommodating our dog too ! We enjoyed ourselves so much we contacted the owner and requested an extra day and she responded back immediately and was very accommodating and made that happen for us. This is an end unit, I think a wonderful plus, and it is one of the closet units in Evian to the beach...a 10-12 minute walk, 4 minute bike ride, or you can drive in 2 minutes to the community Beach Club and park if you are wanting to cart a lot of things to the beach. We loved biking every day within the community and discovering the wildlife. Shipyard is so close to grocery stores and great restaurants and very close to Coligny Plaza too. Again, cannot say enough about the central location. This area of the Island and specifically the beach is less crowded and bigger beach than the Sea Pines area. Would return and highly recommend this place."

  • All we could ask for & even more

"Beginning with the location to the quality of the house, we could not have asked for better! The layout of the home is perfect for multi-family vacation. If one group wanted to talk/play games and another wanted to watch Game of Thrones, this condo was fantastic. Each if the three BR had their own bath, very positive. New bath uplift in master was gorgeous and the waterfall shower was a blast for the grandkids after rinsing off outside after fun day at the beach. I promise the next time we visit HHI will be staying at this location (if available, after this review I might be limiting our chances). Can't say enough positives about our experience. The multi-decks were also great for "happy hour" & family cookout. Wildlife views were great for grandchildren and those young at heart. View of 5th hole Par 5 was fun watching golfers suffer as members of our party had done earlier. Condo not more than 30yards from green."

  • 3rd Year in a row

"We had another fantastic week in Hilton Head. The condo is in a great location, well maintained, and had everything we needed. My 2 kids (8 and 6 years old) and wife have enjoyed our vacations here for 3 years in a row. We hope to make it here next year."

  • Plenty of room, easy booking, Chantel is da bomb.

"Worked with Chantel directly in several languages to complete booking. Check in went smoothly. Cleaning crew worked hard to get us in early even though the previous guests had stayed there a month. All was as stated. Plenty of room, kitchen more then adequately supplied, boogie boards a nice touch. Easy peasy double squeezy bike ride to beach (could walk easily). Even closer to Van Der Meer if you're there for tennis instruction. Didn't use Evian's courts but they looked to be in very good shape and lighted as well. Went clamming, got some nice ones, although not as plentiful as last year. A local on the clamming grounds indicated it was the dredging going on in Calibogue Sound that was affecting the clams. What do I know? Took the boys fishing and my 23 year old got a "bull" Red Drum that went about 23 pounds. The 16 year old got a small shark, and we caught enough Whiting for delicious fish with pasta and tomato sauce dinner that night along with a clam stew. But, enough about our adventures. The condo was absolutely perfect for my needs and we easily could have put another family in there with us with some jockeying of bed space. Can't beat it. There is a downstairs bedroom if you've got mobility issues."
