  • Paradise

"We stayed 2 nights/3 days at the cottage and LOVED it. It is the perfect amount of living space and we enjoyed the nice breezes on the porch. The were 4 people all together and we rented an extra golf cart and "explored" the island and beaches at night. Turtle beach at the Driftwood houses is beautiful especially for picture taking !!! We brought Bluetooth wireless speakers for the beach and golf cart which came in handy. We will be staying again soon!!!"

  • Beautiful home on a quiet beach with well equipped kitchen!

"Knowing the weather would be iffy in March we took a gamble. We took May river excursions an uncovered boat over to the island. Unfortunately it was raining pretty good so we a little wet. May River helped us the best they could with tarps and gave us a break on the costs of out bikes due the inclement weather. Transfer to the house left our luggage uncovered. So prepare to cover your belongings if there is a chance of rain. The house is absolutely beautiful. We had 3 separate families and the 3 floors gave us plenty of room. The beach was quiet and the drift would along the side of the house was awesome for some beautiful photos. The kitchen was well equipped. We lucked out with better weather than was expected. There were a few things that were unexpected. The pool heater was in need of repair and the air conditioner on the middle floor went out after a storm. The direct road access to house was washed out in a storm so we had to take golf carts over to the house just a a few yards. Wasn't a problem except for transferring luggage in and out. But the property manager Deb Smith was very responsive. All in all we had a very nice stay and would go back."

  • Awesome!

"This year was great again. Enjoyed the new pool, the view of the ocean. We saw some fantastic night time lightening storms over the ocean. We did a dolphin ride out of Sea Pines, right on the island, visited Pinkney Wildlife preserve and visited several restaraunts and breweries. Of course the guys golfed in the area golf courses. What a great way to start summer!"

  • Simply wonderful

"From the very beginning, the owner was the most accommodating rental owner we have ever encountered. We had to move our dates up a few days and he made it happen, no questions asked. Even arranged our carts for the new dates. We were a little nervous about Daufuskie because it is so isolated, but I am SO thankful we took the plunge. It was such a treat! The on island contact was extremely helpful and responded to our texts and phone calls almost immediately. She was a great source of information for the island (and the golf carts.) The rental property is very quiet, even with children and groups of adults in the pool. And the view, is absolutely stunning. The pictures do NOT do it justice. I loved sitting on the balcony in the morning with my coffee and the evening with a glass of wine. There is plenty of space for everyone. The rooms (and bathrooms) are quite large. You will never feel like you are on top of each other. Everything that you need for a relaxing vacation is in the condo. We stayed in the 1103 condo and used the stairs almost always. It was very convenient to be so close to the pool. There is also a little area to store your beach stuff behind a gate, so you don't have to drag it in to the condo. The beach is never crowded. There were maybe a handful of other beach-goers. For the most part, it is like having a beach to yourself. We saw armadillos almost nightly and we were fortunate to be staying there when some loggerhead turtles hatched. It was amazing! As for the rest of the island, take the time to explore it! Bloody point is such a quiet area and there are numerous historic spots very close by, including a winery. Most places are a short golf cart ride away. After exploring the island, we really thought the Bloody Point condo was the best location and the best beach/waves on the island. We will definitely be headed back!"
