  • Labor Day Relaxation

"Great labor day (even with tropical storm) weekend. Loved the new dock facilities (covered) supported 25' boat, sunshine, well equipped home in a quiet cove. Boat ramp literally around the corner! Grounds kept nicely, plenty of fenced in area for boat trailer. Nice neighbors. Very quiet area. Bar & Grill close by on the Friday rain day. College Football on TV (cable) Will recommend and be back soon."

  • Perfect Masters Housing for Large Group!

"We traveled to the area for my husband's 40th birthday trip to the Masters. We had friends and family joining us and we were able to accommodate the large group with no problem. The bedroom sizes were generous, and the common areas were perfect for us to hang out, cook dinner, and relax. The open floor plan is great for a large group. The main concern we had going in was the commute to Augusta on the days we were going to the course. It was a total non-issue. Even on the heaviest traffic days, it only took us 30 minutes. Once you were back to the house at night, it was a perfect place to unwind. Be sure to stock up on whatever groceries/items you need prior to arrival. It's in a remote area and there isn't a grocery store close by. Would absolutely recommend the location if you're going to the Masters...or even if you're just looking for a lake getaway. Great property!"

"My family just vacationed here for the weekend and have nothing but good things to say and we have some more great memories! High Points: The house was clean and had plenty of room. The yard was as pictured (a huge backyard which was great for some fun games). The children loved the private sandy beach and fishing off of the dock. The pool table is a very nice 'add-on'.. it got played a ton! (There is a 'bar' at the end of the road where we could get more ice- that was nice!) Also - any communication with the owners was handled quickly and pleasantly . Nice to deal with! I just emailed to book our trip for next year too! Great spot!"

  • Beautiful condo, lovely view, and fantastic hospitality

"Due to a family matter, we had to go to our hometown of Orangeburg for a few days. After surveying hotel choices, I decided to go to my normally reliable option of VRBO. Due to circumstances and need to reminisce, we chose the Lake Marion area as it held so many memories of my youth. After looking over the available condo/housing choices, this property was clearly heads above the others. Changing family circumstances caused us to alter our arrival date and the owner was super gracious in helping with the modification. The condo far exceeded our expectations. All rooms were perfectly arranged with modern furnishings, yet with a few pieces that had an antique flair. I loved the dresser in the master bedroom as it reminded of the one in my bedroom growing up which really helped on this trip. Even though time did not allow us to take advantage of the garden tub in the master bath, it looked comforting and my wife said we would have to come back to try it out. Despite the reasons for the visit, I slept well due to the very cozy and super comfortable bed. A large table with ample chairs are in the dining room which worked out well for my family. Its round design allowed us to dine and converse easily. The lazy susan is a great touch and I commend the owner on this wise choice. All appliances worked and we had all we needed with none of the usual "I wish the place had..." and it was very clean, my compliments to the cleaners. My family thoroughly enjoyed the balcony, watching the boats enter and leave while we sipped our glasses of wine. Even though we were not prepared to use the pool, it is very clean and the design fits well with the surroundings. I do highly recommend walking the old 301 bridge. It is the right distance for exercise and the view is fantastic. Having driven across this bridge as a young lad, this was a great walk. There are several grocery stores and decent restaurants in the Santee area which should meet practically any taste or need. I highly recommend this property and will definitely stay here again when I visit my old stomping grounds."
