  • surprise 60th birthday weekend

"I surprised my husband with this weekend getaway for his 60th birthday. I did not tell him where we were going. He couldn't imagine what this was as we traveled down the narrow dirt road to the tree house. We both loved every minute of it. The home is so beautiful and is decorated perfectly. It was the most relaxing weekend we have ever had. There was so much to explore right in the house itself. We found an independent bookstore in Camden on Broad St. with a great coffee shop inside. We spent some time in there and had good coffee and a new book to bring back to the tree house. We highly recommend the tree house if you are looking for the perfect relaxing getaway."

"My family just vacationed here for the weekend and have nothing but good things to say and we have some more great memories! High Points: The house was clean and had plenty of room. The yard was as pictured (a huge backyard which was great for some fun games). The children loved the private sandy beach and fishing off of the dock. The pool table is a very nice 'add-on'.. it got played a ton! (There is a 'bar' at the end of the road where we could get more ice- that was nice!) Also - any communication with the owners was handled quickly and pleasantly . Nice to deal with! I just emailed to book our trip for next year too! Great spot!"

  • Great choice for lake enthusiasts

"I rarely post comments on places at which I have stayed, but your property deserves a shoutout. As a lifelong lover of lakes, waterfront cottages and inns are my getaway destination of choice. To me, there is nothing better than to be in or on the water, and, across the years, I have stayed at a number of places that enable me to do just that. While I enjoyed “roughing it” in my teens and 20s, I have come to appreciate a real bed and certain other amenities of home when in the out-of-doors. That has led to stays at some nice places on the water. Yours is among those places that are rich in creature comforts as well as natural beauty. I was particularly impressed by the extent to which you anticipate guest needs and the thoughtfulness in the many small touches that add to enjoyment of your property. I would have been content to spend my entire time at the lake but am glad we visited nearby Aiken. I love the historic and equestrian influences and thoroughly enjoyed exploring the downtown area. Thanks for recommending Aiken Brewing Company for lunch. It was a hit with our group. Having heard the stories and seen the photos of our guys’ outing, my sisters are determined to make your property the site of a long-overdue sibling reunion. Finding a week that works for three busy households is a challenge, but I remain hopeful. I would like very much to visit again."

  • Can"t Go Wrong With This One

"I booked Laurens Street a year in advance of the Masters. So glad I did!! Perfect location, Really beautiful apartment, friendly historic small southern town. Restaurants, night life, literally across the street. If you forget your book, don"t worry, plenty of great titles on the bookshelves. Kitchen has everything you need. Need any advice about the area, just ask Russell. Came down for golf, but so impressed with the area I plan to return and explore. Might want to book this one well in advance."
