  • Fine accomodations in a gracious and lovely area.

"We stayed here during the last 2 weeks of January thoroughly enjoying both our lodgings and Beaufort and environs. Snowbirds from Minneapolis we have been staying at several locations in Florida and South Carolina this winter. I am happy we chose to spend time here rather than day tripping from Hilton Head Island where we go next. Beaufort is lovely, gracious and a fine place to immerse oneself in American History. We visited Penn School, climbed the tower at Port Royal and drove out to Fripp Island. We enjoy walking and found Magnolia Court to be well situated for our purposes - walks to Pigeon Point or the Bayfront park at sunset were frequent and enjoyable. We had been looking forward to exploring the low country for Gullah art. Success was found on Lady Island at the Red Piano Too Art Gallery where she acquired two lovely paintings and a small basket. We eat out often, perhaps half of the time. A few days ago we realized we have not had a disappointing restaurant meal here. This is remarkable. We have been spending winters away from Minneapolis for several years and this is a first. Favorite? Probably Wren. Others include Panini, Papaya Thai, Q on Bay, the Beaufort Bread Company on Lady Island has great lunches (as does the Market Cafe), Plums, Saltus River Grill and others. All in all, a fine place to eat ..... shy on the heat in dishes like barbecue and Asian ......but tasty."

  • Felt Like Home in Port Royal

"We simply loved our month-long stay at this lovely townhouse. It was beautifully decorated and maintained and truly had everything we could ever need. The owners have thought of everything when it comes to amenities and little touches, from luxurious linens to kitchen and cookware and everything in between. It felt like home from the minute we got there. The location was perfect. We biked throughout Port Royal and enjoyed the nearby Spanish Moss Trail. It was convenient to Beaufort and the surrounding islands as well as Bluffton and Hilton Head Island. The television options, DVDs and internet were excellent. And the place was super clean. Our host was very communicative and easy to deal with before our arrival and throughout our stay. We would definitely recommend this place for couples or small families and we will definitely be back."

  • Best of Beaufort

"I currently live in Auckland, New Zealand but I grew up in Beaufort and know the area extremely well. I recently came back for a visit with my family of 4 and chose to stay at this house on Craven Street. It was the best decision of our trip! It is located in a prime position on one of Beaufort's best streets. Not only will you love sitting on the porch looking at the gorgeous historic homes and carriage tours as they pass by, but the friendly neighbors will have you feeling like you belong here permanently. The house has such character and is in the old southern style; yet has all the modern conveniences and is fully stocked with everything you could need for your stay. The house is gorgeous on the inside, but also very kid friendly which was so important with a 4 & 5 year old. You will feel at home. There's also a nice backyard area for the kids to play or to sit out and have dinner and sip tea. The home is centrally located so most days we didn't need a car. We walked to the Waterfront park and local restaurants. The owners were outstanding. We didn't have any issues while there, but they made you feel very welcome and that it was never a problem to contact the property manager if you had a concern. I would highly recommend staying here for anyone looking to come to Beaufort. It just can't be beat. We will definitely stay here again the next time we plan a trip home. My husband and I keep telling ourselves, if we ever move back to Beaufort this is where we want to be! Thank you so much for providing us with such a warm and lovely home away from home."
