  • Great House, Great Neighborhood

"The house was great and better than expected. There was 9 of us and we fit perfect. We came to see our son at Parris Island. This house is about as close you can get to Parris Island without having to go through all the abuse/training from the DIs. I found Port Royal very friendly and would enjoy to come back and explore more. I would stay here again."

  • Wonderful Vacation Home

"We very much enjoyed our week's stay at the Little House by the Sea. It was perfect for our family of 4. There was plenty of room to spread out on the rainy afternoon we had, but also things to do with a chess and checkers board and a couple puzzles. The kitchen was great to make a couple meals in each day. The beds were comfortable and it was really nice having two bathrooms. We found the new washer and dryer very easy to use. It's located in a beautiful area that is close to many things. We were in town for a wedding on Parris Island, but also visited Beaufort, Savannah, and Charleston. We enjoyed a lunch at Fat Patties, brunch at Red Rooster, and a dinner at the marina right next door. There is a Publix about 5 minutes away, which is great to pick up groceries for your stay. We would highly recommend this rental!"

  • Idyllic holiday place

"This house is such a lovely home. It is situated on the Harbor River which flows into the ocean. Dolphins swim past the house, birds congregate in the marshes that accompany the boardwalk out to the dock, and there is nothing like a sunrise or sunset to truly appreciate the tranquility of the moment. The house is really suitable for two although you can sleep 7 or 8. Personally, it is perfect for two. Everything is taken care of for you - fresh sheets and towels, toilet paper, paper towels and napkins.... On the other hand, you still have to brush your own teeth and take your own shower so bring the toothpaste and bath soap. The South Carolina coast is definately a coastline so nothing is a straight shot down the highway. It's about 40 miles to Edisto Island, 13 miles to Beaufort; the grocery store is about 7 miles away.... what else could it be when you are navigating many islands. Most important - never pass a gas station without filling up. This isn't like your local metropolis with a gas station on every corner - nope - they are secreted every 10 miles maybe and it is very easy to find yourself on fumes before finding fuel. There are quite a few options available for food as you approach Beaufort or Walmart. But maybe you'd prefer catching your own. From your very own dock you can catch fresh blue crabs in the trap that is provided; cast net for shrimp or toss in a line for a few fish. What more could you ask for? Food, tranquility, bird song and natural beauty all available at this lovely home."
