  • Cozy, Adorable, perfect for 2.

"My boyfriend and I were not disappointed with this cute little condo. It was the perfect size for the 2 of us; clean and comfortable and so close to the beach! This is the perfect getaway for someone looking to just spend a lot of relaxing time by the ocean. The beaches were beautiful, smooth sand (not rocky at all) and the temperature of the water was amazing. There weren't crowds on the beach at this time of year, just a few other families and vacationers. Once concern we had was that the owners found out the next door neighbors were going to be conducting renovations during our time there. After calling Robin about it, she went out of her way to call the owners of the apartment next door and ask them to hold off on construction during our stay. As a result, we had a lovely peaceful time without any noise. The Island feels extremely safe because you have to have a pass to even enter the island. We felt comfortable leaving our things on our beach blanket while we took a stroll. If you are looking for an exciting night life or city scene, this isn't really the place for it. We went out to eat one night but most restaurants closed at 9 or 10 even on the weekends. This location is all about the beach and relaxing. We saw lots of wildlife: deer, dolphins, crabs and lots of different kinds of birds. As for the condo, everything was great and had all the supplies we needed to cook there (we got groceries at Publix on our way in). You should bring your own condiments though, the only one there was salt. Other than that, everything was perfect. We would absolutely rent this condo again! Thanks, Marie and Robin for a wonderful stay!"

  • This house is perfect!

"My family vacationed at Fripp for over ten years, but the week of Memorial Day this year was our first time back in about 15 years. We stayed in this beautiful home and loved it. There was plenty of room for all 8 of us. The house was very clean and well stocked with everything we needed. It is very close to the beach, and the pools at the Beach Club, and the bike trail. I especially liked the living room ceiling with all the treasures displayed there. The owners, Dave and Wylene, are wonderful people and went to great lengths to make our stay the best it could be. Do yourself a favor and get the entertainment package, which includes everything you will need to have the best vacation possible! I'm already looking forward to staying here again when we get a chance to come back to Fripp. Thanks Dave and Wylene!"

  • Great family vacation

"Had an amazing stay here. Owner was great to work with. Pricing was the best I found on VRBO. Fit well for our family of 3, including a 5 year old. Very clean unit, clean linens and Murphy bed was comfortable. Shower was always hot and good water pressure which is always a selling point when you come in from the beach! Beach was very short walk and extremely convenient. Be careful driving, especially around sunset because there are deer everywhere! Internet is a little slow to load and is an additional fee (5.95 a day or 20.95 a week, which was pretty resonable). There is DISH TV, no DVD player, but if you bring a firestick, chromecast or ROKU, the TV has the right inputs to plug in and cast to the TV. Hunting Island was cool to check out also and is right next to Fripp. There is a lighthouse you can climb up on Hunting Island at one pull off and a pier and small nature center at the other. We were rained out one day and took a trip to Bluffton to catch a movie and bowl/arcade at Station 300 (staying in with a five year old would not have been good). Beaufort was also a really cool town to checkout and has a neat playground on the waterfront if you have kids. We are from SC upstate area and had no clue how beautiful it was on the coast! This was an amazing, low key and relaxing vacation."

  • convenient and comfortable

"We rented this property on our first trip to Fripp Island. We will be back! We met another couple coming in their own vehicle. The rental was in my name and they weren't listed as guests. They had some initial difficulty getting their parking pass but it was quickly resolved with a call to the security gate from the villa owner Kelly Stoks. Be sure to list the owners of additional vehicles coming to the property. The condo has everything you need. The kitchen is small, but perfectly functional. I set off the smoke alarm cooking bacon-- open the front door if searing/frying foods or if possible, pre-cook those ingredients at home and bring them with you:) Great views, easy beach access, comfortable furniture, friendly island deer, fantastic water pressure in the showers--- we loved it all! We will rent this property again. We celebrated a big birthday at the Saltus River Grill in Beaufort-- pricey, but worth it!! Beautifully plated, delicious food, lovely setting on the waterfront park."
