  • Beautiful and Spacious house for our Parris Island graduation trip

"Our family came to Fripp Island for our Marine's graduation at Parris Island (25 to 30 minute drive). This beautiful and spacious house was perfect for 3 generations of our family, 6 adults and 4 children (2 - 17). The furnishings/beds are very comfortable with pleanty of extra sheets, pillows and towels. Very short walk to the beautiful beach, that goes on for what seems like miles. The golf cart was also a nice bonus. Very quiet gated community with deer everywhere. Owners are very helpful and easy to work with. Great tip from Jack - stop by the Publix Store for groceries, wines etc.great selections. Thank you Jack and Marilyn we really enjoyed our time at your home."

  • Words cant describe

"As I sit to write this review, I find it extremely difficult to use the right words. We reserved this property for a small family reunion/vacation, 6 adults and 2 kids. There was more than enough space for the 8 of us inside and I would find it hard for any group, no matter the size, to utilize all of the deck space. The interior was nicely done with endless upgrades and the exterior deck was upgraded with a nice composite decking, so no splinters from old beach worn wood in your feet. The house was very kid friendly with games, cards, pool table, and it also had 2 flat screen televisions. There were 2 refrigerators, one upstairs and 1 by the wet bar next to the pool table, so you always had more than enough room to keep your food and beverages cold. Which brings me to my only complaint. The tenant before us must have kept bait in the downstairs refrigerator. The fridge smelled for the first few days and the ice could only be used for the cooler until it cycled through a few times and was wiped clean. Again, there were so many positives I did not even bother the owner. Back to the good. There were 2 high end washers and dryers, so keeping things clean was very easy. Our family loves to cook, we only ate away once, and the kitchen was very well equipped. There were more than enough dishes for serving and just about every utensil one might need was already there. The outdoor shower was a life saver and made it much easier, especially with children, to keep the sand out of the house (there was also a hose next to the stairs that led up from the beach). Next to the hose was a fire pit with your own private tiki hut. I ran the entire beach every morning and did not see another like it. It was very neat and a favorite place to hang out once the sun went down. Most importantly, the location. Perfect. Easy to get everywhere and right on the beach. When you walk through the front door, the first and only thing you see is the ocean due to the wall of windows on the opposite side of the room. They had a Weber grill off the back deck that also faced the ocean, very relaxing when you fill it full of steaks or burgers. The last compliment, because I could go on, goes to the owners. They were always extremely fast to get back in touch with me if I had questions and answered them within 24 hours. I have stayed other places where the paperwork alone was a nightmare. The paperwork was simple, everything was straight forward, and there were no hidde"

  • Family of all ages

"This home was a great gathering space for our family and we enjoyed our time there. The home is a little dated but the furnishings are comfortable and well maintained. The screened porch with rocking chairs was an ideal location to enjoy the views. The owner was extremely accommodating as we made our plans vey late. She was very kind and considerate to our needs. You have a bit of a hike to get down to the beach, but the location and the beach are fantastic. Very private. The house has all the beach toys you could possibly desire. The golf cart was also a hit."

  • Outstanding Property

"Casa del Mar is a wonderful home from which to enjoy all that Fripp Island has to offer. The mid-island oceanfront location with direct beach access is very convenient and makes it easy to spend lots of time on the beach or enjoying the surf and sand from the decks and porch. The house may be the best equipped of the many homes we have rented at Fripp. The kitchen has all the necessities to cook and entertain for a large group. The Viking appliances are outstanding. The furnishings throughout the entire house are well above average with plenty of chairs, couches and televisions. Casa strikes the proper balance between luxury and functionality. While the house is way above average, you do not feel afraid to use the house and enjoy it. They have done an outstanding job of making the house turn-key for any renter. From the hair dryers in each bathroom to the extra ice maker in the laundry room, they have tried to provide the extras you would want at the beach. The bathrooms for each of the bedrooms are huge, well-appointed, and the showers are perfect. We have been to Fripp many times over the last 29 years and Casa del Mar is the best house we have rented in all that time. If it is available the next time we are there, we will rent it again."
