  • Steps to the beach...

"I stayed at the Sunsuite Studio for the month of February to do some work and to escape what is normally a very cold and snowy month in New England. Having grown up in Beaufort, I was excited to spend some time with family and friends in the area. My dogs were with me, and every morning they ran (and swam) on the beach which was practically 30 seconds from the door of the studio-- (Because it was the off season, there were very few people (if any!) on the beach at 6:00 am. The studio was very well-equipped with a large supply of towels, an extra set of sheets, dish soap, sponges, a laundry bag and hamper (helpful for doing laundry right up the stairs), as well as the standard kitchen supplies and pots, pans, utensils, etc. Having the dogs, I really appreciated the wood floor-- easy to do a daily sweep. The unit was quiet and temperature was easily controlled by the mini-split system. I was able to seamlessly connect to the internet for the month using ISLC which cost about $35. I borrowed my mom's bike and biked several times on the bike path up to the market by the gate, and the dogs and I walked through the Bird Area every day and saw herons and pelicans. The island is quiet in February, which meant that I headed off island for some meals. A great discovery was MJ's Soul Food- right down Highway 21. Incredible seafood, chicken, corn bread, fried okra, and other authentic Southern fare. (They are happy to pack meals for take out also.) All in all, it was a great month. The studio was perfect for rest and relaxation and a little work! Super location on Fripp Island and very dog friendly! The owners were easily accessible and helpful when I accidentally locked the key inside the studio! Thanks so much for a great time away!"

  • Best Choice!!!! EVER!!!!

"Condo was SOOOOO CLEAN!!! Very roomy for a studio..pictures do not do it justice.. Bed was very comfortable!! Pillows also comfortable! The condo had everything we needed and some. Condo is right next to the beach which is very helpful when hauling alot of beach toys. The island has alot to see and do. Be sure to bring your bikes or rent some. The best part of the trip is the hospitality. The owners are AMAZING!!! THANKS FOR A MEMORABLE TRIP MARIE!!!"

  • Great family vacation

"Had an amazing stay here. Owner was great to work with. Pricing was the best I found on VRBO. Fit well for our family of 3, including a 5 year old. Very clean unit, clean linens and Murphy bed was comfortable. Shower was always hot and good water pressure which is always a selling point when you come in from the beach! Beach was very short walk and extremely convenient. Be careful driving, especially around sunset because there are deer everywhere! Internet is a little slow to load and is an additional fee (5.95 a day or 20.95 a week, which was pretty resonable). There is DISH TV, no DVD player, but if you bring a firestick, chromecast or ROKU, the TV has the right inputs to plug in and cast to the TV. Hunting Island was cool to check out also and is right next to Fripp. There is a lighthouse you can climb up on Hunting Island at one pull off and a pier and small nature center at the other. We were rained out one day and took a trip to Bluffton to catch a movie and bowl/arcade at Station 300 (staying in with a five year old would not have been good). Beaufort was also a really cool town to checkout and has a neat playground on the waterfront if you have kids. We are from SC upstate area and had no clue how beautiful it was on the coast! This was an amazing, low key and relaxing vacation."
