  • Wonderful stay in Lady's Island

"This is the best property I have rented in my time renting from VRBO. My brother and I and our two dogs visited Lady's Island for a week for my mother's birthday, and, as she isn't crazy about dogs in her house, we decided it was best to try to find accommodations elsewhere. We were beyond impressed with the Cottage at Little Lucy Creek! The owner Kathy was amazing to organize the stay with, Judi the manager had everything perfectly in order, and the property was the best appointed of all properties I have ever stayed in. We visited in the heat of summer, but the back porch was breezy and the dogs had tons of room to run and play - we didn't even need to take them to the dog park to get their energy out. The kitchen was unlike most rental kitchens- it was so stocked with equipment we almost had nowhere to put our food! Usually there is a sad skillet and perhaps one wine glass, but this cottage had everything we needed to have a lovely dinner party. I was worried that it was so well appointed that we would break or damage something, but somehow it all worked beautifully. The trust that the owners put in their guests really makes you want to take care of the place. I'd love to come back in a cooler month to enjoy the hot tub, fireplace and screened in porch properly . . .was just a bit too hot when we were there, but the outside deck and inside (with a fabulous sound system, AC, fans) did us all just fine. Thank you!"

"Beautiful view off the deck! Lots of egrets and pelicans to watch and enjoy!! Cozy cottage and great price. Dog park across the street made it nice being a pet owner. Owner was available when needed."

  • Most amazing week ever!

"We parked upon arriving and before unloading anything....ran to the 'back' of the house, the beach. It is the most amazing view you'll ever experience! And...high tide or low tide? You DO have beach! We lived on the huge screened in back porch, all week. The house is clean, well equipped and up to date. We spent little time inside though. It is secluded...that's exactly what we wanted. You are in a state park but far from the coming and going of anyone visiting the park. We essentially had our private beach area. Several sea turtles came on shore to leave eggs/nests the week we were there! We explored the island daily. We visited "Lil' Blue" (the cabin still standing out in the water). We explored the "Bone Yard" of amazing trees the ocean claimed and left on the beach. We saw the remains of the cabins there long long ago. We bought groceries in Beaufort, on our way to the cabin, and didn't go back out except to visit long established and family owned Gay Fish Company (15 mins away). We'd watch the shrimp boats all day (from the back porch) then we would go buy fresh seafood for dinner that evening. If you are looking for swimming pools, water slides, amenity cards, and fast food places.....this is NOT your place to go. If you are looking for natural beauty, tranquility, gorgeous sunsets and "moon rises", shrimp boats, history, and wonderful natural surroundings.....this IS your place to go! We hope to go back.....again and again."

  • Great House for Whole Family

"My family had the pleasure of staying at Fripp and Fall in June 2016. My wife and I have an infant, and a 3 and 7 year-old. My parents, sister, mother-in-law, and aunt joined us for the trip. It is always challenging finding suitable accommodations for my group, but this house has something for everybody. The back porch is an amazing place. The comfort and scenery of that spot stays with you when you leave. The porch and family room area is roomy, enabling large groups to gather easily. The house also has plenty of places to escape each other when a timeout is needed. The bedrooms are private, and the beds are comfortable. I typically like to stay oceanfront, but Fripp and Fall's canal view and close proximity to the beach gave us a unique experience while maintaining the easy access to the sand. Having the golf carts included was great too. The owner went out of his way to answer any questions and make us feel at home. He even asked me to provide him with any feedback following the trip, so he could work to improve the place. I'm picky and judgmental by nature, but could come up with nothing. Best house and best location on Fripp. My entire group is anxious to return, and they're still treating me like a hero for finding the place."
