Recent Low Country & Resort Islands reviews

  • Wit the exception of the roaches inside the house, it was very well upkept and updated.

"We enjoyes everything about the house with the exception of the roaches. The kitchen and bathroom counters had been noticeably updated in recent years. The next update could stand to be the floors (hardwood and carpeting), but that did not affect our stay. The patio furnature was great and was a favorite place of ours over the long weekend."

  • Perfect Villa for a Stay at Fripp

"This is the second time we have stayed at this villa and it never disappoints. It is in great condition. Clean and comfortable. Close to the center of the island. The owner is great to work with and prompt in responding. I would recommend this villa to anyone wanting a one bedroom close to everything on the island."

  • Idyllic holiday place

"This house is such a lovely home. It is situated on the Harbor River which flows into the ocean. Dolphins swim past the house, birds congregate in the marshes that accompany the boardwalk out to the dock, and there is nothing like a sunrise or sunset to truly appreciate the tranquility of the moment. The house is really suitable for two although you can sleep 7 or 8. Personally, it is perfect for two. Everything is taken care of for you - fresh sheets and towels, toilet paper, paper towels and napkins.... On the other hand, you still have to brush your own teeth and take your own shower so bring the toothpaste and bath soap. The South Carolina coast is definately a coastline so nothing is a straight shot down the highway. It's about 40 miles to Edisto Island, 13 miles to Beaufort; the grocery store is about 7 miles away.... what else could it be when you are navigating many islands. Most important - never pass a gas station without filling up. This isn't like your local metropolis with a gas station on every corner - nope - they are secreted every 10 miles maybe and it is very easy to find yourself on fumes before finding fuel. There are quite a few options available for food as you approach Beaufort or Walmart. But maybe you'd prefer catching your own. From your very own dock you can catch fresh blue crabs in the trap that is provided; cast net for shrimp or toss in a line for a few fish. What more could you ask for? Food, tranquility, bird song and natural beauty all available at this lovely home."
