  • Perfect experience from beginning to end

"Highly recommend Laura's cottage for a perfect experience with no let downs or missed expectations. We came in for our son's Marine Corp Graduation, a very important moment in our lives. We had 3 adults and 3 children with another of my son's friends showing up. We had plenty of room and the place was spotless and made us feel right at home. We had others coming into town for family day and graduation day. We had gatherings at the cottage both days and it could not have been more perfect. On graduation day Laura let us stay an extra two hours so we could have an early lunch with family and friends after graduation before we all hit the road. It was intimate and allowed everyone mingle and take pictures with our new Marine. From our first contact with Laura through us getting an immediate deposit refund the experience was first class, trouble free and exceeded our expectations. We can't thank Laura enough for making our special moment with our son even more memorable. Don't have any hesitations about booking here, Laura rocks!! David & Dot Sprowles"

  • Wonderful Place!

"My family and I stayed at be as you are this past week. The home was beautiful. There was 13 of us and it was so comfortable and big enough for all of us. The dock was so nice to go and sit at. Tammy the owner was wonderful to deal with. The beach was just a golf cart ride away. We will be wanting to stay at this home for sure again."

  • My Second Favorite Place in the World

"My favorite place is my hollow in West Virginia. This particular home in Harbor Island is a close second! I have been here twice now and its beauty and serenity warms my soul. This last time I shared it with my lifelong friends of 40 years and my daughter and her children. Seriously, there is nothing better than sitting on the upper veranda watching the gorgeous sunsets every evening! I took enough photos to wallpaper a room! The accommodations, colors, decorative items and art give it such a wonderful local flavor it's hard to lock the door and leave. You would not want for anything! Whether heading to Hunting Beach, a hop skip and a jump down the road or visiting the Sound and its beach by golf cart, one can't go wrong. The information Mia provided us gave options for restaurants, shopping, local sight seeing and books of the history and geography of the environs. I'm fascinated by the Gullah people that made this area their home. There are plenty of spaces for walking and bicycling and for children to run free. This year we took an hour drive to visit Savannah. I would be remiss if I didn't thank our hosts Mia and Bob for such an amazing vacation! You made everything easy. If anyone is thinking of traveling to this beautiful part of the country I can't possibly recommend this home any more highly! Get away from the commerciality and crowded beaches of Myrtle Beach and Hilton Head. Come to Harbor Island and Beaufort where history and nature are center stage! Let Mia know and she'll make the wheels turn for a vacation home that is one of a kind!"

  • great view

"My family truly enjoyed our time on Fripp Island. The view from this condo for the price is unparalleled! Bring your fishing pole as the ocean is right in front of you. The Shrimp Shack and Gay's Fish Market are awesome and right down the road. The deer come right up to you looking for a treat --the kids got a kick out of that! Savannah is simply 50 miles away, Beaufort is another town rich in history and don't forget to visit the Hunting Island lighthouse. Only one negative about our stay was the pull out sofa sleeper -- I wouldn't sleep man, child or beast on this atrocity (sorry Christina); however, the bed was very very comfortable. The one thing that I really appreciated about renting this condo was no fussing around with the cleaning fees or any other hassles. One price and done! Thank you again for opening your home to those of us just passing through!"
