  • Wonderful location, wonderful home, wonderful hostess

"We decided to take a summer vacation almost at the last minute (planning in July for an August week) and we wanted to take our dog. We lucked into Walker's View. We had 10 adult family members and one dog. The house, as described, is one main floor with 3 bedrooms off the main living area and two bedrooms at ground level. In my experience, most beach houses are 3 stories with multiple living spaces. We loved having everyone together. It is an older home in an established community. Parking (even 5 cars) was no problem. There is plenty of comfy seating, with 2 standard size couches, 2 loveseats and 2 recliner chairs. The dining room table was large enough to seat 10 comfortably. The outside deck has multiple seating options and a picnic table. It overlooks the marsh and provides shade until late afternoon. The pier was awesome. There is ample seating and shade on the pier deck. We had our morning coffee on the back deck, while bird watching on the marsh. The sunsets on the back deck or the pier were spectacular every day. Two egrets visited the pier next door every evening. It was a short walk (about 4/10ths of a mile) to the public beach access. We rented two golf carts and used them to go to the beach, the Marlin Quay store/bar/grill and to the Garden City Beach pier area. We had kayaks and loved being able to simply jump in the kayak from our own private dock. There is also a small sandy beach area at the back (front?) of the house overlooking the marsh. The location was perfect. Lots to see and do. It is a short drive to Murrell's Inlet restaurants and bars. (even shorter if you go by kayak I guess!). Some of our group are golfers and the proximity to the wonderful courses on Pawley's Island was welcome. Since Garden City is south of Myrtle Beach, it's a short drive to the MB Airport and some in our group took a helicopter ride. The Marlin Quay marina is a mile away. The fishermen in the group rented a boat for a morning and managed to catch flounder. Our hostess (Ellen Walker) was a joy to work with. We have rented beach houses in many SC locations throughout the years, but we all agreed that this was the best. Best house, best location. We were sad when the week ended and we hope to be able to return."

"Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: 5 adults and 2 children spent 3 nights here and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The only complaint....count your towels and washcloths before the office closes! I would highly recommend this unit and this resort!"

  • Fantastic!

"We loved our stay here in B2! The place was beautifully decorated, clean and comfortable inside and out, with high end appliances and finishes. The location is perfect. Easy access to the parking lot or the pool. Loved being able to see the teens in the pool area from the unit. Great to be able to walk to downtown Garden City or bike around the area. A short drive to grocery stores, donut shops, restaurants, ice cream and souvenir ships, other than the few right in downtown Garden City. Our family of 4 is quite active and we all found things to do in close proximity (golfing, biking, hiking, tennis, beach walking and swimming). We definitely hope to stay here again."
