  • Best part of South Carolina is southern hospitality...

"Hi Wayne and Sandra Unfortunately we have to leave tomorrow after two wonderful weeks at your house. We were blessed with beautiful fall weather - sunny warm days and cool nights. There are so many beautiful national forests, state parks and waterfalls in the area. We enjoyed the hiking and natural beauty that northern South Carolina has to offer. The best part was coming back to your home every evening for a magnificent sunset. We have a son in law who graduated from Clemson University so it was nice to drive through the campus. The botanical gardens were wonderful. We went back a second day just to do bird watching. One day we drove an hour to northern Georgia to visit the Tallulah Gorge State Park - breathtaking! Of course the best part of South Carolina is the southern hospitality. We loved the people and the area."

  • Wonderful place

"My family and I stayed here for Thanksgiving. The area is BEAUTIFUL. Wonderful view from the multiple porches. Kayaks allow you to traverse the beautiful lake. On the trip to Ingles (an extremely nice grocery store nearby) you see beautiful panoramic mountain views. The house is very nice- we did a lot of cooking and hanging out all over the house. The nights are quiet and beautiful. One night we heard a loud splash somewhere off in the lake, and upon googling, read that many believe Lake Keowee to be haunted. We also took a short trip to Whitewater Falls which is a huge, incredible waterfall with a somewhat strenuous hike to the bottom. We had a really fantastic time."
