  • So relaxing!

"We just came home from the most peaceful vacation we have had in years! This house met our needs perfectly and the location was excellent. The kitchen was well equipped and the house is spacious. We really enjoyed having our breakfast on the screened porch each morning. The boat ramp made things so easy for us. I would definitely recommend this house to anyone wanting to get away and relax. The owner is very prompt in responding to emails, etc. We loved this place!"

  • Fantastic house

"We had a great time at the house, and like many of the other reviews, we gave it five stars. But let me go into specifics as to why you should rent this house. First, the house actually is as it appears in all the photos. In fact, there is actually more backyard furniture than it shows, giving everyone a place to sit down. The interior furniture is as shown. it really is what you see. Six person kitchen table, as well as a six person table in the dining room, right next to the kitchen. Plenty of seating inside and out. The kitchen is fully equipped . Plenty of pots and pans if you like to cook. Ample dishes and silverware to feed everyone, and not have to run a half full dishwasher just to have enough utensils for the next meal. And the dishes/silverware were real, not plastic junk you might find a yard sale. The gas grill is huge and first class. You can cook steaks for a dozen folks at the same time. And having basic spices and condiments available was a huge plus. Simplifies shopping. There was even a six pack of Bud Light in the fridge when we got there! (we left it for the next guests!) As I stated, the furniture is as shown, and very comfortable. I can't speak for all the beds, but the bed in the master bedroom was exceptionally comfy! Three TV's total: living room, downstairs den, and outside by the fireplace. There were no TV's in the bedrooms, but I don't care about that. The three bathrooms were well stocked with towels. Well stocked. And there were beach towels as well, should you decide to jump in the lake. Or go kayaking. Yes, there is one as well. One thing to think about: the king bed in the loft, is in a loft! It opens over the living room. So if folks up in the loft can hear those in the living room, and vice a versa. Assign sleeping arraignments accordingly! As you can see, the backyard is what sells the place. Tracey was gracious enough to have a cord of wood on hand for the fireplace. As you might expect, we spent most of our time there, and as I stated before, there is plenty of seating for all. The only consideration is the walk to the dock. It's a bit steep, and might be difficult for the elderly, or "less than athletic"! We had a very bad experience with a VRBO house a couple years ago. This was definitely NOT the case here. Great house , great owner, hassle free/worry free weekend. It doesn't get any better. We will be back."
