  • Will not be disappointed

"This cottage is adorable. We loved the master suite and the cute bunk room for the kids. My favorite spot was the covered porch with the hammock and fans to keep you cool. The walk to the lake is level and easy. Although it's just a platform dock we brought a canopy to keep on the dock and had plenty of room for chairs and tied up a boat and jet skis. The cove is busy but we were still able to swim off the dock just fine. The owner made great use of the space and it's very cozy and clean. You may feel far from things but it wasn't a bad drive to get to the grocery store maybe 13 minutes. We loved this cottage and would stay here again. The owner is super nice and more than willing to help you find what you need."

  • Perfect for Family Reunion

"We just ended a wonderful vacation with family staying at the Rock House. There was plenty of room for sixteen family members with ages ranging from 18 months to 74 years. Very nice location; not too close to town but not too far away either. The house was very well kept, comfortable and inviting; just like walking into home. Beautifully appointed with a collection of children's artwork and full of surprises. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed for cooking several full meals during our stay. The Writer's Retreat was perfect for the young adults to get away from the hustle and bustle of the main house. We loved the access to and from the lake as far as the steps to the dock were concerned. They were not too steep which made the walk back up to the house much more bearable! The kids loved fishing and jumping and swimming off the dock. We explored the lake from boat, and found the Jumping Rock. We also found the Lighthouse Restaurant and Keowee Marina, not to mention several waterfalls in the area, including Lake Jocassee. Dave and Lucy thought of everything to make our stay pleasant. Dave was excellent at communication and was available by phone or text to answer any questions and discuss any concerns. Only bad thing was we didn't want to leave. Great place to stay and will for sure stay here again if it's available next time we go to Lake Keowee."

  • A week at the Lake

"We enjoyed the peaceful days and time spent with family. The lake was beautiful and we were all comfortable in this beautiful home. The pool was great and we had fun playing pool volleyball...got a little sunburn. We sat on the pier and my Dad didn't catch any fish but he caught a big turtle. He had a blast. The kayaks and the ping pong table were a big hit. We left video games at home and played board games at night. I found myself sitting on the deck and managed to read that book that has been collecting dust. We rented a pontoon boat one day and went tubing. We went sight seeing, seen waterfalls and ate at The Spotted Pig. My sisters family hit the golf course for a round of golf. How nice not having the usual hustle and bustle of vacation. Our family all needed some quality down time. The house more than met our needs and I highly recommend it to any family that needs to slow down and reconnect."

  • Great open house

"Home is perfect for multiple couples with children. We live in nearby city and had family come from out of town. Decided to rent this house instead of having them stay in a hotel. Great decision! 2 couples with 3 babies, 4, 8, 10 yr old kids. Space was perfect. We had high chairs, traveling cribs and plenty of kid stuff and we weren't overcrowded. Kids enjoyed the ping pong, fooseball table and parents enjoyed the large screened in porch. We all enjoyed the lake of course! Plenty of parking, if needed. Close to lots of things in the area"
