  • 20 years to Hilton Head. Best yet!

"My husband and I have been visiting Hilton Head for almost 20 years. If we come by ourselves or with another couple we almost always stay at Captain's Walk. The location in Palmetto Dunes is excellent and Captain's Walk is a small enough complex that it doesn't feel crowded. The complex is just 3 buildings all with magnificent views of the ocean. We have rented a number of different condos - all in the middle building. The problem - it is right next to the pool which can be quite noisy particularly during spring break or summer months. We are now in our late 60's and although we know kids can get noisy while having fun - that's not something we want to hear while sitting on the balcony enjoying the ocean views. So this year for our spring visit we decided to try one of the "outside" buildings. Still great views, still excellent beach access, everything the middle building offered without the noise. Now to Unit 472. All I can say is this will be our choice for future visits. The unit is updated and very clean. The furniture is very comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked with everything one needs for cooking in. Linens are excellent. I especially appreciate the second bedroom with its queen and twin bed. This has worked out perfectly for our children to join us during their spring break - one family of 3 the first week and another family of 3 the second week. No one had to sleep on the sleeper sofa. Most other condos have either just a queen or 2 twins in the guest bedroom. Also the second bath can be accessed from the second bedroom - no need to enter from the hall. The floor plan is perfect. And finally my pet peeve when renting a condo - this one does not have dusty silk or plastic greenery. The couple that are here are dust free. I usually put them out of sight until we leave. I haven't touched these😄"

  • Wonderful family vacation

"I recently stayed at this high quality, beautiful home with my three grown children, their spouses and my three young grandchildren (ages 1,2 and 3). This home was a perfect fit. It is very child-friendly, with a gated front porch, high-chair, two portable cribs, and a child's table and play area on the back porch. The bedrooms, 2 upstairs, and 3 downstairs, offered plenty of privacy for each family group with their own bathrooms. This is a comfortable, clean and well-equipped home. The kitchen is roomy with plenty of dishes, etc. for a large family. We enjoyed the large round dining room table. Loved the nearby community pool, and spent hours every day on the beach, which was just a short walk away along a beautiful shaded path. We also enjoyed the courtyard behind the house and played bocce ball in the evenings (we took our own set). There is no better place for family bike rides than Kiawah, with miles of beautiful bike paths. This home is a short ride to Night Heron park, where there is a great playground, and a fun family event with large inflatables one evening. We chose to rent bicycles with child seats, but the house has a couple of usable bikes that are stored under the front porch. I would recommend the Oyster Roast at Mingo Point on Monday night. There is an abundance of great food and drink in a fabulous marsh setting, live music and kid's activities, and the roasted oysters served up with shovels along with plenty of crackers, sauce and lemons are a special treat. The boys in our group enjoyed a day of golf on the fabulous Ocean Course, and the girls went for lunch one day at the beautiful Sanctuary Hotel, just a short bike ride away. The Freshfields Market area is full of fun shops, restaurants and a fabulous grocery store (good fresh fish). The owners of the home, Debbie and John Diddle, were great to work with, responsive and helpful. We had a wonderful time!!!"

  • Amazing stay!

"First off, Susan was incredible to work with. She helped us find the best rate for the right days, and she was always incredibly responsive. Once we arrived, we were in love. The pictures don't do justice to just how big the space is. Plus, it's close to everything you could possibly need for an amazing vacation. It was clean, comfortable, and I would stay here again in a heartbeat. Plus, dog friendly! You will never find a place this great for such an amazing price."

  • Beautiful condo, beautiful view...PERFECT!

"We have visited Myrtle Beach/Garden City area for the past 7 or 8 years. We have stayed in different places each time and this was by far the best! The unit itself is beautifully decorated, clean and had absolutely everything you could hope to need in the kitchen. (toaster was a little touchy so might need replaced) The beds were super comfortable, the balcony was unbelievable! I just can't say enough good things about this unit. The resort itself could have been a little better but overall still pretty nice...one of the two elevators was out. They said from the storm but I heard others say it had been out in May too so you might check that. It was fine for us in the off season but would be bad during busy times. The people at the resort were friendly and helpful and the pools and hot tubs were awesome. Mr. Kendrick worked with us on our last minute booking (we waited until last minute because my husband has Alzheimer's and another member of our party has some health issues so we weren't sure about travel) All in all I don't think you could go wrong with this unit. We would definitely stay again."
