  • Excellent house for a family reunion

"This house was perfect for our families (total of 10 people) vacationing together in Mt. Rushmore area. The sights we wanted to visit (Mt. Rushmore, Custer State Park and Mammoth Site) were all within very easy driving distance. The house is beautiful as are the surroundings. There is a lovely creek that runs through the property. The kids enjoyed exploring the house and the grounds outside. It is very quiet---there are no visible houses. The agent who manages this property was very responsive and easy to work with. We've rented many times from VRBO and this ranks close to, if not at the top of, our list."

  • Perfect South Dakota Location

"We spent a week at this home with our kids and grand kids. It was the perfect location. We brought out some riding horses to help explore the Black Hills National Forest right in the backyard as well as took the suggestions for the different sightseeing places. Price for this location was way reasonable and we plan to return again. Absolutely wonderful experience."

  • Cute cottage

"We enjoyed our three nights at this cute little house in Custer. Just a few blocks from downtown restaurants and shops. Enough space for parents and two boys to spread out after busy days in the Black Hills. Could use one more comfy chair so 4 can sit. City pool just a block away if kids need to cool down. Recommend!"

  • Family group over the 4th of July

"We are always interested in the reviews before we rent, so we hope this helps someone. We were a group of 4 adults (2 couples) over the 4th of July. The cabin was perfect! It is a log cabin and set in a rather secluded area. Close enough to Custer to go out to eat or to grab groceries and fix a meal at home (grill worked great). The view off the front porch is amazing. There are 3 levels of bedrooms, so everyone can spread out and 2 1/2 bathrooms make it pretty easy. The convenience of the location was perfect for us-- pretty close to Custer State Park for some pretty fun hiking and fishing. The cabin was clean and well maintained. We liked both the place and the location."
