  • A home away

"For my family this was a great home away from our home for a time. We enjoyed the setting in the Black Hills. We had turkey in the yard in morning and deer every night. Yet the drive to town was less than two miles. We enjoyed the fire pit and the deck made grilling convenient. The house itself was very good. I'd give it five stars but for the absence of WiFi"

  • Just what we were looking for.

"We had a great vacation staying at this house. The location was close to all the major sites we wanted to see. I was impressed with how stocked the kitchen and bathrooms were. The kitchen provided all the things we needed to have a few meals in the cabin instead of going out to eat all the time. We really enjoyed the wildlife we could view from the deck in the morning and evening. We are 2 couples who are empty nesters looking for a fun week away and this helped make it a great adventure. We will definitely come back to stay at the Tin Mill Cottage."

  • Excellent Cabin Experience

"My husband and I spent a week in the Couple's cabin and loved every minute. We covered as much ground as two can on our first trip to the Black Hills area and can't wait to return. I can't say enough about the central location to every thing much less the Custer Buffalo Round Up. That was the idea that started the whole trip. The cabin was wonderful and had everything we needed. Even a cabin cat that made us miss ours at home slightly less. The couples cabin was a home away from home and gave us the experience of a log home that we have always wanted. Can't say enough about it!!!! Thanks Annie and Alan for the opportunity to share your cabin."

  • Quaint, lovely home close to everything

"We arrived after dark and the hosts checked in (via text) to make sure we arrived safely. Custer is cute. It is very quiet this time of year and many of the restaurants, shops are closed. We loved the Sage Creek Café. The visitor center is very helpful for regional attractions. We went to Custer State Park, MT. Rushmore, and Deadwood. A special treat was Sylvan Lake, great for family picnic. The home itself looked newly remodeled, cute décor, loved this house for our family of 5!! They had a pack and play, so I didn't need to bring one. Washer/dryer on site was nice."
