  • Location! Location! Location!

"Perfect fit for our family of 9 (6 adults, 3 children). Loved the 5 bedrooms & 5 bathrooms! House was clean and passed my inspection:) Parts are a little worn around the edges & decorating is from the 90's, but it was a comfortable home for us to sprawl throughout. Worse part was the lack of Internet. It was so spotty & unreliable. There is no hairdryer which is unusual for VRBO's. The appliances all worked great! No central air, but 2 floor units (one on the main level & one in an upstairs bedroom). The lower level one worked OK cooling that area, but the unit in the bedroom only cooled the one room. We had a few 90+ degree days, so the other 2 upstairs bedrooms were warm. Thankful for ceiling fans & that it eventually cools down at night. The Mickelson Trail is adjacent (across the creek) to the property. The gravel lane is rough for road bikes, but the trail is equally rough. We sure wish the wonderful trail would be maintained better or even better yet paved! We had an awesome family vacation in the Black Hills and would stay here again."

  • Perfect

"This was an ideal central location to tour the Black Hills. The cabin was just right for the two of us and was well equipped. It is right at a ski area so would be great for a ski vacation."

"Great Stay! This cabin is just as picturesque as the photo. The cabin is situated on a well maintained lawn with a tripping brook across front of property facing a beautiful rock face hill. We enjoyed the lack of cell service quieting the electronics and adding a level of serenity to the visit. The drive to Hill City is a bit long but the free grazing cattle added a bit of excitement to the sight seeing filled drive. Cabin was very clean and well maintained. The beds and linens were comfortable with good stock of cooking pans and utensils."

  • Perfect for a large group of people

"All of our bridal party stayed at his beautiful cabin in preparation for our wedding at Sylvan Lake. There were 13 adults and 5 children and we still had plenty of space to spread out. We had 9 girls getting ready at one time in the living room/kitchen and it was not overcrowded. The location is phenomenal, the house is immaculate, comfortable and well laid out. Tim was wonderful and easy to work with, upfront and extremely accommodating. Thank you for letting us stay at your beautiful "cabin" for our very special day!"
