  • A great retreat!

"My friends and I enjoyed a week at this beautifully-situated Spearfish Canyon home and can't say enough about the property, the condition of the house and the kindness of the owner. We arrived in time to catch the final days of the Black Hills Motorcycle Rally, which is a must for all motorcycle enthusiasts, and spent each day riding the incomparable roads that make up the greater Black Hills region. We put more than 1,000 miles on our scooters throughout the week and enjoyed returning to our mountain lodge and listening to the Spearfish Creek, steps away from the house. The outside deck was wonderful and provided us with a great gathering place to discuss the day's adventure while enjoying the hot tub and gazing up at the canyon walls. The large living room provided enough comfortable seating for us all and the 70-inch plasma TV and video collection were great. Dave was a wonderful host and was careful to check in on the condition of the house without being intrusive and his recommendations for sites to visit during our stay were much appreciated. This is a wonderful house in a stunning location in the Black Hills. Spearfish Canyon Road is an unforgettable motorcycle ride in itself and to be able to stay in such a magnificent location was truly special. I highly recommend this property for your next vacation whether you're on your motorcycle or getting away with the kids. The Black Hills and this beautiful property will bring you years of great memories and we are most grateful to Dave and the wonderful people of South Dakota for welcoming us so warmly and leaving us with such previous memories."

  • It really is Cozy!

"My hubby and I recently stayed at the Cozy Coyote. It is a very nice little cabin!! It is decorated with a classy 'cabiny' feel. Cute little touches making one feel like you are at home. We planned our little get away on very late notice but Amber worked with us and was very kind about the last minutes reservations. She answered quickly when I had a couple of questions. Loved having a dishwasher!! Pretty handy with our coming and going schedule. Kitchen had several little 'gadgets' for our use. We ate very simply so didn't require much but had what we needed. Furniture in the living room was cozy so after a long day of activity it was nice to crash on the couch and veg. Nice bathroom - never used an inline hot water heater before but worked great!! It was nice after getting chilled down from being in the cold and snow to take a hot! shower. The bed was comfy and extra blankets were available for that warm sleep feeling. We really did enjoy our stay here and would highly recommend it. It has what you need to be very comfortable and cozy!! With the niceties we people like to have. :) Great location too! If you like skiing, Terry Peak is almost walking distance. Deadwood and Lead are just minutes away. Cozy Coyote is really that - cozy!! No coyotes :) You will like it!"
